Re: Important changes to canon Ravenloft
You will have to excuse Joel, he is missing his beloved Sorragne right now. He'll get over it though. I am more gutted over losing Vorostokov, my homeland is no more! I also know on good authority that there are some lovely changes on the way and when Malocchio returns he has gained something truly ...

Re: Curse of Strahd: Opinions?
While I did order and receive CoS my copy was badly misprinted so I returned it for a refund, I plan to get it again at a later date though. I have heard many mixed opinions on the book, but I did like the Tarokka deck that was released and am very glad I ordered that. I means that when I run anoth...

Re: Great video games to play with a Gothic atmosphere
Not sure if these games were mentioned earlier but Alan Wake and Evil Within have a strong feel to them that I believe add a gothic horror feel to them.

Re: Horror Novels
Rhiannon Frater's As the Word Died trilogy is worth a read, as is the Hater trilogy by David Moody. Max Brooks should be given a look, as should be Johnathon Maberry.

Re: The Cabin in the Woods
Even ol' George Romero has gone independent (and has been for years) to avoid Hollowood (not a typo) producers ruining what were two very good installments to his Dead series (Diary and Survival of the Dead). Land was the only non-independent Dead movie. As for Survival, it;s problems really starte...

Re: Resident Evil 6: They're Baaaaaack
Been playing Resi 6 since day of release and still enjoying the game. However, it is worth pointing out that only J'avo mutate, zombies do not (with the exception of red-eyed zombies turning into Bloodshots if shot in the head). The skill system is also borrowed form Operation Raccoon City (less I s...

Not seen Minding the Monsters yet but looking forward to it. However, Controlled Chaos is available on streaming Netflix, at least here in the UK at least.

Re: The Walking Dead on AMC!!!
Well, with what has been announced for season 3 it will go beyond the Safety Behind Bars arc (issues 13 - 18) as it involves things from later arcs. Personally cannot wait for this season!

Re: The Walking Dead on AMC!!!
Having seen the finale on Saturday (early poor quality leak that was sent out by accident, lol) and now having seen it properly, it was a very good episode. it picks up nicely from episode 12 and keeps going... The Good stuff: The first half is pretty fast and frantic with more characters dying (2 i...

Re: Movies that have that Ravenloft feel
Just spotted this... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11Wn-_uyT48 Got a real 'Tepesti' feel I think? It does look pretty interesting, but i have my reservations about it. Something about it just sends up warning flags in my head. Grave Encounters has some suitable material for people wanting to set t...

Re: The Walking Dead on AMC!!!
Yep, there are some large changes between the comic and the show, the biggest being that there are far less children present (Hershel had 2 little girls, the twins aren't present, etc). Tyreese is still to appear! Where is he?! There have been a few changes since i was fed spoilers, but I had assume...
