I would agree with UG that Ebberon would´nt be a perfekt Source for Steampunk (at first simply because there isn´t any real steam-technology in Ebberon ;)) One thing, I could still imagine concerning Ebberon would be a kind of postapocalyptic wasteland-domain drawn from the mournlands. It could look...

Anytime someone brings up the numerical taboo of triple six to me, I inform them that it is also the numerical symbol for the sun - thus blowing the air right out of their baloon. Could that point to this british newspaper ??? :P (Oh, I love conspiration-theories...you can create them out of...

Hmm...I like those starvation-idea really ! The indirect reason for the burned fields could be the imperial highway through the domain. Over most parts, the road is paved and makes fast travelling possible. (However, inside the Schwarzforst, the highway isn´t very reliable) So, during the war, more ...

But I thought of some later comparison. I think, Sorbria could be compared to a random german province some years after the 30...

A gunslinging darklord ?
Thanks the gunpowder-thread, I wonder if some darklord could be somehow specialized on guns and rifles. First, I thought about the german opera "Der Freischütz" as inspiration. You can get a story-synopsis and some further information about it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Der_Freisch...

Policemen in Paridon or Port-au-Lucine carring a crossbow just to cause no culture-shock to wandering adventurers from more t...
