The nuckelavee is a sea monster. It is supposed he can't cross fresh running water, and the legends says that's a nice way to escape from him. Tepest is a good idea. Forlorn too, but it is true nobody goes there. Personally, I'd prefer a sea or sailoring encounter. There's at least seven description...

Yes, That's the one. Thank you very much, Mr DarkKnight. Yes, it's an long list, but some are worth the reading work (that's work to me).

Ravenloft feats

I was searching for a complete list of Ravenloft feats. Yes, there is one in the mausoleum, but I remember another. I don't know it is here or where, someone knows?

The Paladin Rogue??? Mmm... let me think about it. I think it is possible (Well, actually, it is possible). But as I said, to play with a paladin character is demanding, a paladin-rogue will be a real challenge to any good Ravenloft player!!! Are you thinking again in the Batman Paladin? OK, it is p...

I think there is enough material, it's only overviewed. A good DM learns from experience, both as DM and player. Then, you combine those abilities into a fresh and new style. A good DM is also innovative. I will tell you a secret. After your sessions, review your notes, make a few more, and rescue w...

Well, I have also another idea. I would really like to see a good Ravenloft series, the story of an adventurer party, their travels around RL, with all the tension and flavor of the game. BUT... instead of a final chapter, the story would finish with a good movie (just a good one, forget that better...

Oh! that Ravenloft movie is a great idea, an idea I also had dreamed with sometimes. :!: All of us (gamers) have a great imagination. Maybe a group of veteran DM's and players could make the greatest movie ever done (I'm not joking). As someone said, a movie is too short for RL. It's impossible to c...

OK, now, seriously... First of all, I started playing videogames. I found the D&D game, Tower of Doom, and later, Shadow over Mystara. After highschool, some friends played all of the evening. Later, a friend told me of the rol playing game, and started to play. That was, Mmm, seven years ago. A...

I must say I agree with all of you. Thanks for your comments. To keep fighting is all about in Ravenloft. Obviously, is not possible for any character to destroy ALL of the Darklords and the land itself. In my humble opinion, I'd turn the fight to the character itself. The fight against the evil wit...

What they are good for? Mmm. A though one. I think about it as a good movie. Needs to have a good villian as well. That does not implies the characters fighting the lord of every domain they step in, instead, I like to use them and think about them as puppet masters, the focus and evil mind above al...

The Batman Paladin? Never had that thought before. Yes, I understand the concept. I love paladins, but, the Ravenloft Paladin chooses to be a suffering creature, lingering about the mists doing good, but waiting death at every step, if he is lucky. Yes, I like the paladin native, but he is limited t...

You are so right, Crow. I also think that the fight itself is more important than the final result. I just have a problem as DM. My players are relatively new, and they don't have the instinct of a true gamer yet. They don't care about the fight, they just care about the treasure. Sad, is not it? Bu...

Hello. I saw the topic, and HAVE to say something. In my campaign, I introduced the House at the very start. One of the player characters, was an orphan who watched her parents get killed by the general of the local army. She (the general), learned that they own an old house (the HOL), and wanted it...

EVERLASTING SORROW. A PALADIN IN RAVENLOFT?

Greetings, my dear fellow gamers. My name is Johann, a new parter in the crusade against evil. I understand that to fight an enemy you must know it, so, I came here to learn about your vast knowledge. I want to start with a simple question: To be, or not to be... a Paladin in Ravenloft. My idea abou...
