Re: Community Idea: Settlements!

Maybe, maybe not---change is a good thing in the land of Mists, and Lady Adeline's been too comfy for too long. Plus, if she goes, then that gives the Baron some chance for character growth, which is nice.

I recall those details from your Invidia survey of the Mistworld, Mistmaster! Always nice to see your take on Ravenloft.

Any particular sites or locales for this project that you might have thought of?

Re: Community Mapping: Invidia

Y’know, I never saw the Mordred similarity until you pointed it out, but I’ll definitely use it in my games! And I agree, some place on the map should be dedicated to Phagius. And while I haven’t used Invidia yet in a campaign, I do have plans to and rereading its write-up made me appreciate it more...

Re: Community Mapping: Invidia

Quiet? How about our April Fools? It was a big success this year! I suppose you're right! The map is nicely done but it is missing the small town of Ravienne mentioned first in QtR#16 ( Olerick's Collequial Guides ). Thibodeaux's Rest Home provides comfort to a decidedly different clientele. It is ...

Community Mapping: Invidia

Hey everyone! I hope that everyone's Easter and April Fools and other holidays went well. I figured that things have been a bit quiet in recent days and wanted to do something that would involve the community. It's pretty well-known that Ravenloft has a lot areas on the map that tend to be neglected...

Re: Ideal Ravenloft Videogame

I was rereading Gazetteer II's write-up on Falkovnia, and the section on paper trails and travel docuemnts reminded me of this thread. Do you think a game like Papers, Please would be fun if it were themed to be at a Falkovnian border checkpoint?

Re: Ideal Ravenloft Videogame

That's a tough question to ask, but a fun one! If I had to say, there are multiple ideas (though each should have a strong horror theme): 1. An MMORPG in the style of the "Prisoners of the Mists" roleplaying server in the Neverwinter Nights game, but with the most updated graphics of today...

The image isn't showing up for us Meph but it definitely fits the weird fiction/horror themes you're going for!

EDIT: I see it now!

Re: Additional monsters for Hazlan

Echoing what's been said before, Eberron monsters being in Hazlan (like the Quori) make sense, especially given the proximity Hazlan once had to the Nightmare Lands and Bluetspur. I'd also say that it might be worth looking at the monsters of Dark Sun (though not too many, as we wouldn't want to rob...

Re: Kickstarter - Zander's Guide to Zombie Hunting

This sounds cool! I've been meaning to find a way to convert the cool rules of Van Richten's Guide to the Walking Dead to 5e but have been at a loss, so this might fill that niche for me. Thanks!

Re: Ways of Getting Around Canon...

I'm attempting to write up several new NPC profiles (for a future QTR article, hopefully) and have come across several concepts from Ravenloft canon that are giving me headaches. Specifically, I'm struggling with things like Vlad Drakov's penchant for branding his falcon symbol on all the inhabitan...

Re: Falk-fury rages on!

The note of hags being pseudo-empowerment for the downtrodden women reminds me of a relatively well-received (if controversial) module by the Lamentations of the Flame Princess crew ("Better Than Any Man" iirc). So you've got my vote on that! And the shadows being a potential teaser for a ...

I cast Thread Necromancy...aaannddd I failed my powers check :diamabel: In terms of a 10th regalia, to fit the Gwytune, perhaps the Tome of the Erlking, said to contain the history of the Shadow Fey, including who they were before their enslavement by Gwydion.
