Re: Happy New Year
Awesome! If its one of yours, it shows your range of art styles. You have done the older and later Ravenloft Artstyles (VRG vs. Compendiums/CotN), recreations of classic paintings, coats-of-arms, and now reinassance/medeval art-work.

Re: Happy New Year
My new years resolution is to finish and clean up that record of Raveloft Product quotes (the thematic ones that appeared in the preface of chapters) before January is over.

Speaking of Heraldry, Mephisto, for the ones you yourself made for the Richemulot Guard article, did you draw those or did you use a tool or website?

Re: Rumors of Lekar/other cities
For the town of Skald in Kartakass . Think of them as things you'd overhear in the Old Kartakan Inn: "Looks like Grandfather Beaver's decided to get 'inventive' again. Seems during that short thaw last winter a whole family of them set up shop, and now they've all but dammed the Kilovan River. ...

Re: Ravenloft themed Deck of Many Things
If you mean a Ravenloft Deck of many things with the customized effects, rather than new icons for the same deck, I know either the Books of S or the Undead Sea Scrolls had something like that.

Re: What I would like to see in QtR#31
I'm working on making ideas for Kartakann Ballads and Mora, as well as a few additional references to Cormyr. I'm better at informal story stuff than I am at hard rules, so this should work. I'm also gonna try and expand the Lonesome Road idea of the Four Maidens, a society of elementalist-women in ...

Re: Bastellus origin
If we wanted it to be distinct from Night-Hags, maybe it could be some sort of spawn or living-construct made by them. I could see Styrix making that thing.

Don't know how many are on Prisoner's of the Mists (I see it sometimes) but they had their own thread on Noble House ideas for Dementliue, complete with house crests. Just thought I would sure the link:

Re: Conjurers get the short shift in Ravenloft
Semi-related, but how does this apply to Nightmares in the Mists? Nightmares are technically fiends, yet they seem common enough that they are said to roam Nova Vaasa at night, and many a villain seems to have one as a steed in the mists. How can this be squared? Are these just unique, a sort of pse...

Re: Heraldry, flags, and colors for each domain.
Odd thing is, the double-headed eagle was more a sign of the Romanov dynasty. The two heads were meant to represent how divine rule was ordained both by earthly might and by god. Ironic that the nearly atheistic if not outright anti-deist Falkovnia has the Zweifalk as its iconic bird. Maybe in that ...

Re: Conjurers get the short shift in Ravenloft
I really like this concept, thus making Conjurers more viable to play, while still leaving them with severe risks to the ignorant or arrogant, and thus expanding the encounters of the mists while still retaining their rules. However, this implies that the reality wrinkle would also be present in sum...

Re: Quoth the Raven #30 reaction thread.
So I think its fair to say we can declare Ian Fordam's domain work as canon, cause that amount of quality must be made official. Pharazia especially is a beautiful expansion of NeoTiamat's Pharazia, with plenty of love to old-school dnd and Al-Qadim. I declare it the standard and mold by which all f...
