Re: Advice for running Delta Green
The main point is for the players to talk it out before the game to set the boundaries more or less of what they consider "sabotage" or "going too far". Not every player puts the line at the same place, I know that from experience. So, it is better to know beforehand what you're...

Re: Advice for running Delta Green
That's a good idea. I guess I just assumed my friends wouldn't do stuff like PvP or sabotage. Better safe than sorry.

Re: Advice for running Delta Green
I'm sorry, I didn't even think about that
Delta Green is a spin-off of Call of Cthulhu where the players are special agents and spies tasked with stopping cults and monsters.

Advice for running Delta Green
I'm starting a Delta Green campaign for a big group of players. They have their characters, and they split themselves into three different factions. No, I didn't ask them to. They just did it. I ran the first group through Last Things Last to familiarize them with the tone and setting, as well as to...

Re: Need Help Post (Almost) TPK
I can't imagine the DM would let Strahd leave just because he got Ireena. Presumably, Strahd's gotten Tatyana's soul-body before and he's still trapped ... but then again our DM wants me to roll up another Ravenloft native so I can keep being "Miss Explains the Setting" so he doesn't have ...

Need Help Post (Almost) TPK
My party got utterly destroyed in a fight with over a dozen enemies that felt really unfair. Our party got butchered in two rounds of combat and the survivors had to retreat ... only half of the PCs that ran got chased down by a tree monster and died anyway. So, four out of six PCs died (including m...

Re: Ravenloft 5E: Want versus Need
I totally agree, Gonzoron. I wouldn't have bothered picking up 5e if it wasn't such a hassle to get my friends at the LGS to play anything else. New modules are a must. Ravenloft has too many story opportunities to let Castle Ravenloft etc. be the only thing people explore. I think a Ravenloft crunc...

Re: Ravenloft 5E: Want versus Need
I'd like to see Ravenloft be brought fully into 5e. I love the setting, and most of my friends don't play the older editions. I think there's so much more to Ravenloft than just Barovia, and I'd like to see WotC support that.
Also, I'm really tired of everything 5e being Forgotten Realms.

Dream Pies
So, just something I'm curious about. Last session on our way to Vallaki village, my party and I ran across a trio of witches (a young blonde one, a fiesty red-head, and an old crone; so classic I could smell the leather bound books  ) selling something called Dream Pies. The witches said the ...

Re: Defending Barovia Village
Welp, things didn't go the way I thought they would. I guess the whole zombie army thing was just a method of making us leave Barovia and move onto the next plot point. I'm kinda disappointed
Guess we just gotta look for cryptic relics to defeat Strahd with.
Anyway, thanks for all the advice.

Re: Defending Barovia Village
@Mikhal: The only one I know who's gotten a Power's Check is the ranger that slaughtered a whole family. He also shifted to Chaotic Evil, though I guess it's no surprise. :? @Resonant Curse: The windmill might be a decent place to defend, but every time I mention it the DM gives me the whole "...

Re: Defending Barovia Village
@Resonant Curse: My party (all level 3) consists of a human fighter who really has a thing for polearms and drywall, a dwarven paladin who likes grave robbing from churches/graveyards not affiliated with his deity, a human ranger/artificer who tells everyone he's from space, a human cleric/rogue wh...

Defending Barovia Village
So, my party has accidentally ticked off Lord Zarovich, but I don't really know what we did to make him mad. I guess a vampire king doesn't really need a reason to be angry with adventurers. Anyway, we've only got a few days to prepare against Strahd's minions and I'm kind of out of my depth here. M...
