Re: Formatting advice, please?

When you are composing a post, there are buttons you can use to assist with building a table.

They are listed to the right of the spoiler button.

Re: Formatting advice, please?

The table must be contained in <table> and </table> ... but use brackets [ ] instead of < >.

Then, nested within the table brackets, you place a row by using

.

The cells contained within a row may be headers (which makes the text centered and bold). Use [th] [/th] to do this.

If it is ...

Re: Dungeon Masters, Campaign 1: Ravenloft

Just when you thought they were done with the tale ... an interlude!

Earlier in the Sithicus storyline (the scene at the Lake of Sorrows), the heroes found themselves submerged for a short time during an underwater encounter. They survived, and when they surfaced, the DM informed them that their ...

Re: Dungeon Masters, Campaign 1: Ravenloft

Episode 8, Chapter 1 Finale

The tale came to a riveting end in the final episode.

A shipborne battle with a 'countdown' mechanic was used. That is, you have until 'X' to finish what you are doing ... then it gets really bad ... so do what you can to keep that from happening. It was a good way to ...

Re: Dungeon Masters, Campaign 1: Ravenloft

Episode Seven

(This one was also watched during a work trip. Yay airline WiFi! But note-taking was sparse)

Death is not the end. The cliffhanger from last episode resolved itself. Our at-risk-of-death PC died. But the hamhandedness with which we arrived at this conclusion makes me feel like it was ...

Re: Ravenloft Horror Within - source book set for June 2026

Ravenloft: The Horrors Within has been released on DDB (early access for subscribers right now, I think).

Giving it a read through now.

Re: Dungeon Masters, Campaign 1: Ravenloft

Assuming it was D&D 5E ... In a social encounter, I would have ruled that the bard's attempt to seduce / be flirty was an Influence action and called for a Cha (persuasion) or Cha (deception) roll with disadvantage at DC17.

[Influence action, Hesitant target & Hostile attitude, Vamp Int score: 17 ...

Re: Dungeon Masters, Campaign 1: Ravenloft

Episode six

I watched this one while out of town during a work trip. The note taking was pretty sparse.

Here is what stood out. Strahd (or at least an ethereal projection of him) makes an appearance. Apparently, he is Lord Soth's oldest friend ...

There was a 'split the party' moment that was ...

Also ... halflings? In Sithicus?

Maybe the DM is setting up the introduction of vampire kender, and the PCs have mistakenly identified the villagers as halflings.

Now that would be a rug pull!

Re: Dungeon Masters, Campaign 1: Ravenloft

My problem with nu-Ravenloft can be summed up with the new artificer subclass. Having an animated corpse following you like a minion is something that should have every villager in every village chasing you with pitchforks and torches.

There is a moment in the fifth episode where this gets ...

Re: Dungeon Masters, Campaign 1: Ravenloft

I'm a fan of the setting, sure.

Just not a fan of protagonists within a tale being dark and evil.

There are all sorts of ways to tell entertaining stories, though. YMMV.

You talk a lot about how ...
