Re: Advice for my campaign and ravenloft reincarnated opinio

Glad that you managed to sort out the issue between your Paladin and the others in your party. It sounded likeca difficult situation. :) Anyhow... Ravenloft Reincarnated. It's a really good job that Hidajiremi has done with it. I've played Ravenloft using SW before and it works very well. Savage Wor...

Re: Thoughts on Forlorn

My pleasure Carrion Crow. Your use of the powers checks idea is a good one, but it might be just as easy to reskin assorted Humanoids and Giants as the Caliban Clan. I would like to offer a few ideas myself over this clan and their origins. I hope you don't mind. Near the summit of Torr Dubh, a smal...

Re: Thoughts on Forlorn

The people of Forlorn might not be accepting of Calibans. They don't murder them, but drive them from their villages and assume them to be disposed of by Mother Nature. Once out of sight and out of mind they are forgotten about. A group of them have survived and formed a small clan of cannibal bandi...

Re: Thoughts on Forlorn

A really nice take on a Scottish setting. 8) It wouldn't take much to add a Sawney Bean/Christie Cleek band of cannibalistic bandits/ghouls for a slightly different type of menace.

Re: Curse of Strahd: Opinions?

I still haven't managed to get a copy of CoS. No idea what is going on at my FLGS :( . Anyhow, I'm hoping to add a few extra bits into it. Not because I believe that it needs extra bits, it sounds like it's chock full of hooks. Just because I like to tinker. I'm already set on adding Horror's Harves...

Re: Horror's Harvest sequel idea

I absolutely loved Horror's Harvest and think that, despite this being your April Fools prank, the ideas mooted are fantastic. I haven't managed to lay my hands on a copy of CoS yet, but I reckon that the village of Delmunster would be easily reskinned as a Barovian location, rather than a Falkovnia...

Re: [Savage Worlds] Ravenloft

Well done Hidajiremi. The whole thing is coming together very nicely.

I especially look forward to seeing Mircea and Sanguinia in your take on the Frozen Reaches. Are you intending to expand them to include any home brew settings? It would be a shame not to include a Domain with a Wendigo Darklord.

I haven't noticed your efforts over on Peginc Forums Hidajiremi. Are you hiding your light under a bushel(as the old saying goes)? :D

Re: [Savage Worlds] Ravenloft

I don't like the 'oh so mystical' Vistani either. I like that you regard them as just another ethnic group amongst teeming humanity. Perhaps Madame Eva's group might be slightly different as she has the potion to traverse the mists? Perhaps some particular Edges or Hindrances might be conceived of t...

Re: [Savage Worlds] Ravenloft

@Hidajeremi I've just skimmed my Deadlands Reloaded stuff. I think you are mistaken about Guts not being used in this setting. The Grit rules make direct reference to the Guts Skill and all the NPCs in the Marshall's Handbook have Guts skills. There doesn't appear to anything in the rules revision t...

Re: [Savage Worlds] Ravenloft

@Skyrock, I mentioned earlier that I too was a bit surprised by the omission of Guts as a Skill. Hidajiremi mentioned that he didn't feel that he wanted to go down that route and that Guts had been done away with in the latest SW edition. I believe that DLR still uses it though and I would have incl...

Re: [Savage Worlds] Ravenloft

No problem. The praise is well deserved.

Now, we need a Tarokka Supplement with rules for using it to determine initiative, as an adventure deck and an alternate table for Veteran of the Dread Realms using the major arcana deck.

Re: [Savage Worlds] Ravenloft

Ok, so I've had a quick browse through it. First off, it's very impressive. :) It's well set out and easy to follow and mist of the artwork is very nice as well. I like your idea of clusters instead of a core. Some of the realms in the original setting were quite jarring when placed in close proximi...
