Re: Mist Usage
Basically, the only way you can use the Mists "wrong" is to use them in a way that spoils their mystique. If you want to stick to the essence of Ravenloft as a setting, they should remain an enigmatic force of supernature, not something that even the villains can rightly claim to master o...

Re: Crafting magic arms, armor, scrolls, ect.
It doesn't say in the PHB a day is considered 24hr. If that were the case, why wouldn't it be located in the PHB? The DMG specifically says, "The caster works for 8 hours each day. He cannot rush the process by working longer each day . But the days need not be consecutive, and the caster can u...

Crafting magic arms, armor, scrolls, ect.
So I have been having a debate with my friend on this topic. The DMG states that it takes one day per 1000gp. Now would that day be considered 8hr or would it be considered 24hr? The formula I came up with is gp x 1440(24 hr in min)/1000. If it were 8hr, it would be gp x 480/1000. I say 24hr, he say...

Re: Psionics
So slamming an object of 100lb should do 10-11d6? That's pretty powerful for a first lvl power. Though I wouldn't expect any psions to lug a massive weighed item on them. Thanks for the help, I have some thinking to do.

Psionics
Sorry to put this on the forum, but I don't use any other d&d forums to discuss the topic. Their is a power called "Control Object" that can control an object weiging up to 100lb. I don't know if this makes sense to you, but the object can make a slam attack that deals 1d6 damage + int...

Re: Mist Usage
Well these are great responses but they don't really answer my question. Through the ways I listed above, are those correct ways of using them? Or is there no wrong way? I recall reading in the RLPHB that the mists are a force that is capable of doing many things, leaving the DM to make whatever use...

Mist Usage
What are some good uses for the mists? Bullet them if you could. Also I have a scene in my adventure where the mists make it to where the players are almost in a different dimension. With that being said, the town and players can no longer see or interact with each other. Is this a correct usage?

Re: Creating a Villain ._.
If you want to integrate new villains into the community, you might provide a hint or two that the villain is out there, but not actually have the PCs meet them until their heroes have completed an introductory adventure or two. That'll give you leeway to customize the villain to be a better foil f...

Re: The Village of Krofburg
Ah and so the only reason why the Gundarakites fight back is because of the way they are treated? Not to take land anymore; correct?

Re: Encounter help.
I did exactly that IMC once. Flour. Sure, not as good as glitterdust, because invisibility affects anything that touches you (to a reasonable degree) but good to decrease miss chance from 50% to 20%. What is different effect would glitterdust have from flour? Wouldn't they both outline the foe? Ple...

Re: The Village of Krofburg
Well I want to keep at as Ravenloft as I can. But I decided to make one of my pc's a Gundarakite, so that later once he makes it to Zeidenburg, he could take part in the rebellion. Why are the Gundarakites looked down upon? I know they are a second class citizen, but is it because they assaulted Bar...

Re: Stupid question
Thank you. Just when it says "one extra attack per round," it almost sounds like every round you get another attack.

Stupid question
How do you exactly use the "rapid shot" and "many shot" feats? Can you use them simultaneously?
