As for domains disappearing upon a darklord's death... which domains proved it to be true?
Rokushima Taiyoo and the Burning Peaks seam to suggest a similar end.
I like what HMB has to say (as usual) in particular about allowing darklords to move about

Round 5
Let’s go dealing about Darklords. Figures of great charm, backbone of the whole setting. The lords of Ravenloft, however, suffer from a certain predictability, and like any good storyteller knows, there's no better way to weaken a character than making it predictable. This predictability ...

You also need zones of of normalcy, calm, and peace so that the intrusion of evil forces will be experienced as a dramatic contrast

Re: What do you expect from 4E?
The "Angels vs Demons" solution, indeed, served to make the idea of how a world should be set off to assume a strong identity, but is not the solution that I hope for Ravenloft. As for me, i'm strongly oriented towards the "Hell on Earth" hypothesis, with the Lords enabled to move beyond the ...

Round 3
- The moral incoherence . This is a crucial point. From a moral point of view, Ravenloft is a setting inconsistent and without a principle. It’s not a world of good, surely. Therefore, is it an evil world? Those unfamiliar with the setting could easily say yes, but all we know that things ...

We begin to get serious.
Second round:

What do you expect from 4E?
The fourth edition of Ravenloft was announced several months ago. It does not seem to me that anyone had posted a thread like this, therefore I'll do it.
The Brotherhood is the largest site about Ravenloft findable on the web, the place where many fans of the setting gather each other and share ...

Re: Some doubts about Falkovnia
The questions of the bridge and the brand is clear. But what about the Selberhas? On this building, I feel quite undervalued, I would spend a few words.
Selberhas Aerie is described as a tall tower surrounded by a narrow spiral staircase, which rises within the walls of Crucea's Park and dominates ...

Re: Some doubts about Falkovnia
It used to be like this, but after Requiem river traffic dwindled. But there are still many ways to use the river: Rivalis is before Necropolis, Martira Bay (and possibly Nartok) and other may transport goods to Rivalis to be shipped forward etc.
I've thought, however, that Martira Bay is more ...

Some doubts about Falkovnia
Reading Gazetteer 2's domain of Falkovnia, i found some issues i would share with you.
1) In the Selberhas Aerie's description, in Aerie section, it is said:
"This stone spire, 500 feet in diameter, towers 60 feet above the town".
Now, i ask myself: does "spire" mean "tower"? Should not correct ...
