The Hallowed witch^[1] (or warlock, if male) is a prestige class for spellcasters that have learned to derive power straight from the Weave, also known as practicing witchcraft. Hallowed Witches come exclusively from followers of Hala, though not necessarily part of her official church. (In essence, this prestige class is the 3rd Edition interpretation of the Halan witch). Although the Weave is neither divine nor arcane magic, prospective Hallowed Witches most know how to cast both (in essence being a multiclassed divine spellcaster and arcane spellcaster.)

Spellcasting

Although Hallowed witch levels contribute to both arcane and divine spellcaster levels, hallowed witches do not gain further spell progression as they advanced in level. Instead, hallowed witches bring the power of the Weave to manifest in various spell-like abilities, albeit requiring the help of a craft focus. Each spell-like ability is usable a limited number of times per day.

Covens

Hallowed witches have the ability to form covens with others of their kind to gain additional powers. Joining a coven requires no sacrifice other than earning acceptance from the other members, though membership to one coven is exclusive to membership in another. The more members there are the more coven spell-like abilities they are able to manifest.

Other Special Abilities

Witches of 2nd level and higher gain Spell Resistance.
