Knowledge [dice]0[/dice] in case any of what she's saying sounds familiar.

Monster man with a beard?

That could be a lot of things. A more detailed description would help.
Or he could go down himself and take a look.

(In game, I will consider the 19 roll to apply to the entire process of analyzing the scene down there)

No traps.

He finds a partial, child-sized humanoid handprint on the door, left behind on the gray-painted wood in smudges of ash and charcoal.

Some of the symbols worked into the graffiti resemble Falkovnian hexmarks. Folk magic, or witchcraft. Not powerful or even effective---but then again, this is what a few professional, scholarly magicians in this world of Mists have said about such ''backwards peasant superstitions.'' Alain hasn't ever actually tested the Falkovnian hexcasters' abilities--he only passed through Falkovnia. He didn't live there.

That disturbing king with the gory crown might be meant to be the Falkovnian ruler. Or his spirit? Anyway, Alain has heard stories about the monarch there, a mercenary warlord, impaling many people for his dinner entertainment.
Very cruel, but nothing special when compared with the hellish depravities of Iuz the Old.

Cool. I skipped ahead a bit, based on rolls, declared intent and actions, etc.

If anyone needs an edit, let me know.

There is an opening in the earth of the cvacant lot, near that ruined wall above.

The opening allows access to a tunnel.

The tunnel goes down into a cellar room.

The cellar room has a trap door in ITS floor.

The crawlspace is under the trap door in the cellar room.

Kacksquatr from knowledge: local.

He doesn't know why they are here and has no knowledge of their band.

But smashing success with diplomacy.
I'm assuming he's trying to get them to be friendly and helpful?
