I'm pretty sure that is enough based on me not looking at Alain's sheet though .

TAVERN , LAUNDRY, MONEYCHANGER/LENDER

This seems like a good place to hit pause.

You guys want some more XP?

That concludes the interlude of 'Down the Dark Road'. What happens next is naturally up to you guys, the players.

When people have caught up reading, they may discuss stuff here in OOC and/or reply to the poll I'm making.

Because this is a little break in action, I'm going to hand out the XP you've recently earned.

If you have time, please double check the bookkeeping on your sheets. Update what needs updating.

I have Alain and Benn sheets, new/updated/linked.

I need those for everyone else.

If you are undecided about feats, skills, etc feel free to leave points unspent and slots unfilled for now. Take your time. I want you to enjoy levelling up. It should not be a hassle. Just note any incomplete stuff on the sheet so you don't forget, please.

That's the crunchy end.

As far as RP and in-game stuff goes, you guys can request changes or add stuff.

If you prefer to open the new chapter by backfilling the bar scene or reordering the quicky summary of events I posted, I'm happy to oblige.

If you like things as they are posted, we can skip to the meeting with HER EXCELLENCY.

Questions? Comments? Concerns?

Question: Does this place feel...I don't know...lighter? Less oppressive than home? IC Benn's never been out of the Dread Realms, and I don't know whether we are or aren't right now, but if this place feels "better" than home, that could lead to some complicated feelings, I would imagine.

He probably is still trying to stay whip focused on getting home and not thinking about the fact that there's realistically only a slim chance he ever sees his family again. He does, despite himself, perk up at stories of the witch burnt at the tree which somehow restored it. Also, does Lathander mean anything to him? 0 +15
"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

RE: THE VIBE
Something's....off.

It's difficult to say what. A subtly different itch when using magic?

RE: LATHANDER

He recognizes the name, sure enough. It's an alternative name for the Morninglord.
Dorgio has mentioned it.
Norzak Darkender knew of the god by that name, though he certainly did not worship any power of Light.

Gauntcliff? The temple or monastery ruins there?
Three gods
Dawn, Noon, dusk...

But what of the Night?

Sembia is a republic and the protectorate was a kingdom?

At the money changer, Klokulf will exchange 60 Bridles (Vaasi gp) for 42 Nobles, 12 Blue Eyes, 28 Hawks, and 20 Steelpence, the equivalent of 51 gp. (I looked up Sembian currency on the internet, so I hope that is right.)

Does he have time to switch into his formal attire and cast make whole on Raen's clothes before they meet the Governor?

Yes.

Sembia is a republic.

The Sembian Protectorate (AKA Western Protectorate, former East Cormyr) controls what had been East Cormyr, one of the Cormyrean Successor States.
