return the way you came, down the canal tunnel

I rolled detect noise in order to see if anyone is actually coming.

Looks like a normal failure, but a success with his listening cone.

There are echoes in the tunnel, so I'll call it a moderate success.

Thom hears faint sounds of walking/wading. Getting closer. Impossible to tell how many walkers, and he's not sure if the sound comes from near the party but out of sight, or a longer way off but getting closer...
