But he gets
Two longbows

Armor and helmets if he wants them
A leather and wood buckler with bronze plating
A hunting horn (on the first guy he knocked out)

Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

Okay he will take what he can reasonably carry and not over burden, he can prepare various protective spells for his journey into the caves.
History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle and forgets the blood. What ever history remembers of me if it remembers me at all, it shall only be the fraction of the truth.

He will take one set of armor to be refitted later.
One bow plus the bow string from other the bow. Both quivers.
A short sword and both knives, along with the wooden buckler.
The hunting horn, both sacks of supplies, both cloaks and he turn the underclothes of one the elf baddies into cloth straps to cover his hands ( and forearms) and he legs plus feet.
After that he will rest and recover from his wounds before heading to the cave.

Cool beans.
When we resume the chapter, his IC posts can go in the chapter thread with those of the other players.
