Would this make Weird Al Yankovic the most sinister power in the land?

If he is still doing the polkas, then yeah. He still performs and would use it during the show for his older songs at least. Maybe that's his curse!

I'd make it like any other arcane musical instrument played by bards, but customized to your preferences on powers, spell-like abilities, etc.

In of itself, I see no reason for Powers check for using an accordian. Of course, if you play an accordian badly, the character with it might face some wrath from the audience - not everyone is a fan of accordian music, but I see no default accordians cause X to happen.

No need for two of the same silly thread in two different forums. I've merged them.

And, yes, Al's latest (Alpocalypse) does have a Polka Medley, with accordion, as always.

And you've all got it wrong. Accordions in Ravenloft are a force for good. It's canon:

If someone was using accordian-playing abilities for evil, you could give him/her a bonus to perform checks (or maybe an extra use of Bardic music, if appropriate), but take away the ability to speak without musical accompaniment.

When he needs to relax, Azalin plays show tunes on an accordion... slowly.

Man I love accordians! I use a couple of accordian bands for background music actually. Accordian Death Squad is amazing.

I'm pretty sure playing an accordion is considered an Act of Ultimate Darkness. How else did Harkon Lukas become a darklord so quickly?

Interesting, I wonder how Concertinas and Melodeons fit with good and evil?

Powers Check? Accordians are one of the abilities you GAIN when the Dark Powers bless you with awesomeness.

He was totally playing "Maniac" on an accordion.
