Raf, let me guess, your PC has an issue with mages too?
If she intends on signing up, he'll issue her a badge and a scroll showing her position as a watch-recruit. That gives her permission to travel armed and ready pretty much anyplace.
Yes she will sign up, then she will follow the others to the inn. If you don't mind I posted that she already got the badge and they are all at the inn now talking with the others.

No, not really. (Or so I guess, unless character history would indicate it.) :)

The standard is ability to CAST 3rd level spells [which standard wizards gain at caster level 5]. Shana is able to cast such spells, eys? If so, she falls under that law.

LOL!

I recall reading that Gary Gygax thought about using difefernt words for 'level' in different contexts; words such as rank, status, grade, order, etc. He didn't, though. I think he actually mentions this in the DMG [AD&D1E, of course] but maybe I read it in Dragon Mag.

Having to bow out for the next ten days, due to an impending exam.

Will be back then, though. :)

Good luck with that crazy barbarian... Hope he's still alive and not in prison when I get back!
