Favourite Dark Lord...

Post by Wiccy of the Fraternity »

Come on, no Ravenloft message board is complete without a thread on who is everyones favourite DL's, so I decided it was my turn to start one, lol.

As always, my favourite is Gabby Aderre, followed by Jacqueline Renier and Godefroy.

I'd probably have to say Anton Misroi...Dance of the Dead and all, master of zombies (a classic undead creature), not obscenely and vulgarly powerful like some other undead masters of magic and whatnot, hides in the deep marsh, can with hold Sourange (sp?) within the Mists by force of will alone...I just like him, I guess. Must've been reading 'Dance of the Dead' that did it for me :-)

Malken, as described in Secrets of the Dread Realms. The idea of Malken being Romiir reincarnated through Tristen is simply wonderful. You have to read between the lines to get it, though. The guy more than deserves his own domain.

Harkon Lukas. Because of the monocle.

Azalin Rex and Nathan Timothy also make the short list.

While Strahd has always had a certain appeal for me (I, Strahd was the first RL novel I ever read), and will most likely continue to have that interest from me...I have always thought of Hazlik as my favorite Darklord.

If I had to make a shortlist...Azalin Rex, Harkon Lukas, and Death.

My favorite has to be Azalin. Followed by Hazlik and then Harkon Lukas(that is one hell of a monocle)

While Strahd certainly has a big appeal, I think I prefer Azalin. His is one of the coolest lines I have ever seen or heard. Take a look at my signature.

I like Tiyet, from Sebua. I also have a fondness for Elena Faith-hold.

It needs to be asked sometime! Its the iniataition.

Like Duke Gundar for flexibility in use, Soth for history, but am developing a strong fondness of Azalin in his cunning, ambition, and intelligence.
