Poor Fred just can't catch a break.

That would be one of those Southeast Asian war masks? I want to say Balinese, but my mask-ology is lacking.

Man the spells are just flying aren't they.

Either that, or our boy just copped the sliest feel I've ever seen.

*guffaw*

It is rather interesting to consider what parties would be like when at least a significant minority of the population has some magical education (as seems to be the case here). Lots of little cantrips flying around...

I had never really considered this, but it's a nice touch. Very plausible, very atmospheric, lots of opportunities for plot hooks. And trouble. :lucas:

It was the perfect romantic comedy setup and he had to go and wreck it by being ensorcelled.

Uh, oh. Dispelling the illusion on that Rajian/Falkovnian may not be the smoothest move, if our heroes don't want to start a panic. No matter how strong the drinks are at this shindig, I doubt the guests are gonna believe that a huge, fiendish tiger-man who's suddenly revealed in their midst is just wearing a good costume....

Oho.

IIRC, in previous editions a rakshasa's ability to appear as a humanoid was based on illusion, so I was a little surprised by this Dramatic Conclusion. Turns out, in 3e it is a Change Shape ability--(very minor) mystery explained!
