Okay, I've noticed a few phenomena about editing your own posts.
If the post is the last one in the thread (i.e. there are no newer posts than it) it appears to edit without any comment.
If the post is NOT the last one in the thread (i.e. there are newer posts than it) it seemd to edit with a comment "Edited X times in total" or some such.
I just wanted to know if there is a finite number of times one single post may be edited. Some forums running the same code as this forum do have a limit to the number of edits, after which the "edit post" button doesn't even appear.
I ask this because I've got a fiction thread and I specifically reserved the first post with a placeholder post, so I can go back and fill in the character lists, etc. But if there's only a limited number of edits I can make to a given post, then I will have to be judicious about this and wait until the fiction is almost finished before posting in there.
What's the score, guys?
