Ravenloft: Origins OOC-Chat
I was DMing once and my players had gone in an unexpected direction. I quickly planned out a scenario in my head and they came upon the stereotypical wizards tower.
Within they found a dried corpse slumped over a desk with a Raven sitting on its shoulder that explained to them that its master had been to weak to finish a ritual, but would not say what the ritual was for. The dead man was named Archedius (completely random name that popped into my head).
Not the most exciting encounter, but it helped create an atmosphere of uncertainty regarding magic. (the party had no casters whatsoever)

Send me character sheets as you are ready, guys- no rush.
Forgotten Realms will be fun for me, partly because I've never really run it [maybe once for a long-ago one shot, but I cannot recall anything specific]. I have played in the setting, but that campaign was 90% dungeon crawling, so we saw very little of the larger setting. I really love the sense of scale and grandeur in the Realms, and that BIG pretty map!

Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

March sounds right. Probably early Mrach. Some of my classes will be over, or nearly so, be then.VAN wrote:Any idea when we will start Ewan? On March?

This will be a PBP game, not chat. I decided that after carefully reveiwing my available freetime [limited on weekends] and consulting with the players. Therefore- no need to worry about date and time for sessions. As for the start date for the campaign.....that annoucement will be coming very soon, I promise.

Okay me buckos- campaign will begin on March 3rd, or whenever all players send me updated/current character sheets.
Roster of players/potential players:
Tarlyn
Van
Archideus
Ken of Ghastria
Kintire
Rafael
Lord Skybolt
BBQDaddy
That's the cut-off. Exception: anyone who was a player in the SB/ RL0 game may still join. No other slots are available, sorry.
PCs:
a 'redheaded rhyming warlock'
a story-obessesed writer
Shana, beautiful redheaded sorceress
Tarlyn's new PC [name escapes me at the moment] a dwarf cleric of Lathander
Archideus [played by Archideus, no less ], a grizzled old veteran from Someplace Up North
Inovidil the Daughter of the Moon, badass human wizardess
and....
a sneaky little gnome mercenary, played by my buddy Lord Skybolt
+
Whoever Raf is playing, if he is able to actually play [LOL, I know how busy he is with school- I'm in school, too].
EDIT- I get Blaise [name?] and the other guy mixed up, only because it's been ages since I played in SB. please refresh my faulty memory, guys. I've updated the lists/roster.
