Ravenloft actor/actress poll

Just for fun I'm resurecting the old "Who do you think would be the best actor /actress for the darklords" thread from way back on the goat (and maybe even before the goat) but this time im giving it a twist-

Who do you think would be best for playing these NPCs-

The Twins-
Van Richten (old)
Van Richten (Young)
Chickenbone
Jander
Isolde
Tindal
The other Troopers
Jazera
Valadimir Ludzig
Gorge Weathermay
Nostalia Romaine
Any Viantani Madam

And any other NPCs you can think of.
Post links to headshots if you can find them EX- (For the twins: Émilie Dequenne http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0237534/ ... BW0031.jpg

Isolde - Catherine Zita Jones

The others I can place faces on but can't think of the names.

The Twins- Keira Knightly
Van Richten (old)- Anthony Hopkins
Van Richten (Young)- Dunno
Chickenbone- I'm not sure how old he's supposed to be, but the guy who plays Warrick in CSI might work.
Jander- Johhny Depp
Isolde- Nicole Kidman
Tindal- Eddie Izzard
Jezra- I can't remember her name but she was in 6 Feet Under and Muriel's Wedding
Valdimir Ludzig- I'm not sure, but they have to ooze sexuality.
George Weathermay- Liam Neeson

Vlad Drakov: Sean Bean, in a very good age makeup.

Azalin: CGI, voiced by Christopher Lee.

Oh, and how about Morgan Freeman as Chicken Bone? He might relish a break from playing all those saintly black guys.

Very good casting for both Ivana and Ivan, as well as Drakov.

*lol* at Morgan Freeman, indeed.

Why? Toben can be in any body? I'd be surprised if Toben still has his original body :)

Another puzzle for me is Isolde - Nicole Kidman ? Huh ?

All of Tobens faces look the same though. That same creepy, smiling, face... Martin Short's face...

Meh, why not?

Perhaps Angelina Jolie would have been better.

Though I think she'd make a good Jacqueline and Louise Renier.

And I think Eliza Dusku should be Ivana.

My picks...

Azalin - Yeah, he'd pretty much have to be CGI; I could see Christopher Lee doing the voice, although Keith Szarabajka or Sean Pertwee would also do a great job)

Strahd - Not gonna touch this one; I don't know if anyone would do the part justice

Harkon Lukas - Sean Bean (he's got the lilting voice and easy command over all his motion; plus, I've seen him play really good bad guys)

Ivana Boritsi - I'll second Drinnik's nomination of Eliza Dushku

Ivan Dilisnya - Ian McKellen (can't get much better than that)

Vlad Drakov - Brian Cox (Agamemnon from "Troy"; he's got the whole military/power-hungry/"Everything is mine!" vibe down perfectly)

Urik Von Kharkov - Djimon Hounsou (Juba from "Gladiator"; assuming he put in some time with his dialect coach)

Alfred Timothy - Christian Bale

Jacqueline (and Louise) Renier - I'll second Drinnik's nomination of Angelina Jolie; after all, two of her is even better than one ; plus, I think she could easily pull off the mix of power and sensuality that the Renier sisters require

Laurie and Gennifer Weathermay-Foxgrove - Estella Warren is a possibility

George Weathermay - Sean Pertwee from "Dog Soldiers" and "Equilibrium"

Rudolph Van Richten (older) - Anthony Hopkins (why not jump on the bandwagon?)

Rudolph Van Richten (younger) - Christopher Eccleston (give him a chance to be a good guy for a change, Dr. Who notwithstanding)

Hazlik - Jeffrey Combs (Herbert West from the Re-Animator movies; shave the head, add some tattoos, and you've got Hazlik)

Tristen Hiregaard - Gerard Butler (suave and dashing in "Dracula 2000", psychotic moments in "Phantom of the Opera")

Dr. Mordenheim - Michael Gambon (Baltus Van Tassel from "Sleepy Hollow")

Wilfred Godefroy - Richard Griffiths (Magistrate Phillips from "Sleepy Hollow")

Gambon, whom I sure Wiccy could tell us is Dumbldore in the last Harry Potter film, is too big to be Mordenheim. I think someone like Robert Picardo would be good.

Nah, he's only 6' tall. He might have to drop a few pounds--he was kind of a hefty Dumbledore *smirk*--but actors do that for particular roles all the time. Look at the weight Christian Bale lost for THE MACHINIST, or Matt Damon for COURAGE UNDER FIRE. Gambon wouldn't need to lose the 40 - 60 pounds that Bale and Damon lost--maybe half that, and he'd be fine.

Not that Robert Picardo would be a bad choice either... the only problem is I'd keep waiting for him to start looking over Elise and mindlessly repeating "Please state the nature of the medical emergency," over and over again.

And careful with the Harry Potter comments--Wiccy already cursed me in a very creative way. He didn't even need Drusilla to wreak his wrath. :D
