I had read somewhere that Mephistopheles's personality in the tragic play Faust, considered to be Goethe's magnum opus and the greatest work of German literature, (also an inspiration for Strahd Von Zarovich's faustian story) was based on himself... thus this found image of my digital world FoS avatar ring, showing Johann Wolfgang von Goethe making devil horns with his hands.

The quote below (in my signature) is by Mephistopheles described in Goethe's work as a cultivated, witty, and cynical exponent of materialism and nihilism, who preaches a sophisticated doctrine of philosophical negation. Mephisto's most outstanding characteristic is skepticism; the inability to believe in anything.
