TAROKKA - ASKING FOR A HAND

I was recently reading up on Tarot and was reminded of Ravenloft's very own slant on the Grand Arcana et al - a little more reading later and I realised that there have been multiple interpretations of Lady Fate's very own card trick (different names applied to the same card, the same deck being associated with different elements etc) and it occurred to me that it might be interesting to see an In Universe explanation for these subtle & blatant variations between Editions.

May I please ask if any such explanation has ever been conjured up? (If not, may I please ask if somebody could please identify the major NPC experts on the Tarokka? I have some initial ideas but would appreciate Expert advice on how best to flesh them out!*).


*Basically I'm working on the assumption that there is more than one Tarokka Deck and more than one School of Thought regarding interpretation therefore (due to two or more Experts exerting an influence on their students).
