Ingleoarn Home for Orphans

Yorna turns her attention away from the militiamen [Blaise, Alain, Jamethon] and towards the little gnome as he nimbly hops up the steps with coin purse in hand.

''Oh! Well, someone broke into our home last night and carried of three of our young charges! There are wild rumors flying around- some people claim that some man in the street saw some of those undead child-monsters- the same creatures that had set fire to the city and killed our old lord- burgling the orphanage. I'm very frightened and worried about our children.''

Gnome shop-

Glim tells Ino-

''Well, thanks for your help today. We've been working for a long time- why don't we quit for now?''

I need someone reliable, so Ironheart, I'm putting you in charge of finding the woman who murdered Thumast Alfane and young Mikam and who robbed temple of Lathander. Don't kill anyone you don't have to kill, but feel free to knock heads together- so long as these are disreputable heads we're talking about, yes? I'd forward you some men for extra muscle...but somehow I think that would be superfluous. ''
Ironheart raises an eyebrow and smirks again.

"I'll bring the dwarf to you in condition to interrogate. - Shana comes, too?"

Alain watches the exchange between Threan and the Yorna. When Threan makes his offer to help out, Alain responds.

"I wouldn't see a problem with that at all. So long as you would be willing to commit yourself to the task force for this investigation. Carrying out two separate investigations of the same situation would probably prove to be less than successful."

Without waiting for Threan to respond to Alain's question about the gnome's "offer," Blaise steps farther inside and asks Yorna, "Dear lady, could you please show us the room where this happened?"

The orphanage

Yorna leads the four investigators inside the building, up a flight of stairs, down a hall and into a large dormitory. The big room is plain and undecorated, with rows of small cots laid out end to end. Light comes in through a single open window. The other three windows are shuttered and closed. There's a door on the far wall; it is also closed.

''This is where the small boys and girls sleep- the older children are segregated- boys and girls kept apart. Our missing three were all in here last night, and gone this morning.''

While the woman speaks, Threan searches the room. He examines the open window. It shows no obvious signs of being forced. There are some delicate scratches on the outside, though, suggestive of small tools...or talons.

If Rask knew Ironheart, he'd say the big man is nervous.

''Oh, yes. Ha! True, you do tower over most folk. Well, go to it, Ironheart. ''

Inovidil stands up and stretches. Looking the result of the craft she smiles and says:

"Yes you're right is enough for today. Do you know where is the inn Drowning Flagon? We can go there for a drink and try to find the illusionist you mentioned."
