They manage to knock him into semi-consciousness. He's not dead, but he caught a rock to the head that knocked off his helmet and stunned him.
The arrows pretty much bounce off his armor, but maybe he's bruise or scraped by some hits.

Delight is to him- a far, far upward, and inward delight- who against the proud gods and commodores of this earth, ever stands forth his own inexorable self.

spell effect ending now.
Fox will not surrender. She will RUN!
But multiple rounds have passed, so I won't adjudicate the end until I know what Roald and Renn have been doing while the rest of the party was pretty much just throwing everything it had at the fox monster or her champion, injuring her and KOing him.

History prefers legends to men. It prefers nobility to brutality, soaring speeches to quiet deeds. History remembers the battle and forgets the blood. What ever history remembers of me if it remembers me at all, it shall only be the fraction of the truth.

Alright, I'm not entirely clear what Roald can do but here goes.
If there are no enemies to attack, he'll try to retrain Reese and try and snap him out of the charm.
Which elf charmed him? The Renn's or the one being used as an improvised missile?
Edit: Disregard that. If the elf-fox lady tries to run, Roald's going to try and grab her.

The fox-woman has an elf female form, with silver hair. She's the one who charmed Reese.
This will become apparent in the actual IC post that's coming up.
It's several rounds, so Roald can spend a few rounds chasing Reese, catching him, and trying to snap him out of the charm--- and still be present for the end of the entangle spell and the probable flight of the fox.

Okay, Roald will spend the entangle rounds trying to pull Reese out of the elf-woman's charms.

SHADOW WORLD
What else?
I've had word from Skybolt, Alhoon, and Van.
It's quite clear from Kintire's earlier round of posts and comments that Safana is going into the cellar , scouting, and returning.
Thus, I think we can move ahead. I wanted to wait about a week to give Kintire a chance to read and respond. But players get busy and real life happens to use all. If no one objects, I'll advance that scene.

SHADOW WORLD OOC MATERIAL
pre-combat time:
Safana scouts and returns (as per stated intent of Kintire, up thread and PMs)
Devlin fetches candle and lights it.
Father Michael casts Bless on party.
Ugo hides in closet.
Filbert rests, holds action near closet door, not far from cellar stairs
Gunnar holds action, ready to go down and throw down
First round- Check for Surprise
GHOUL
[dice]0[/dice]
PARTY
[dice]1[/dice]
Okay, he hears them and they see him.
Neither side is surprised.
But does the ghoul lord have time to flee with its grab bag of treasure?
Initiative roll
ghoul lord
[dice]2[/dice]
party
[dice]3[/dice]
Okay, Ghoul Lord action= withdrawal through hidden door, with his sack of stuff
But Gunnar and Devlin, front rank fighters, may attack. As Devlin's sword wasn't useful earlier against this same foe, he instead works on improving the lighting for. He will use his candle to light a torch he finds in a wall sconce.
Devlin, having coveted a certain sword, is aware that it may be enchanted.
Skybolt's PM was clear about his actions. Advance and strike down his foe.
