And another thing: Fild called the group "Blades of Povero"... bluffing to impress the ruffians. I admit it's a nice group name, but Fild believes in group decisions. At first when I saw the name in the init I thought we were being ambush by someone else.
It would be pretty hilarious if there actually were a devil from the Nine Hells who registered his name with the Infernal bureaucracy as "Blades of Povero" in a cunning plan to get summoned to Povero by people using his name one too many times in conversation.

GERTIE won individual init quick contest, so she saves you guys the trouble of busting in, and saves the cantrip (though she has no idea about that) for Alfonse.

You may all act freely.

Tom is looking around always having his bow ready, thinking that the ruffians might have a secondary exit and escape.\

Ah and track for Gem if is needed again:
[dice]0[/dice]

Gem is more efficient than Tom in this encounter!

She only knows they went down those steps...

OK can Tom shoot at them or they are far away? Fild or Gertie aren't on the way right? If he doesn't have free shot he will not do it.

Based on Van's roll for dog sniffers and tracking, I am assuming Tom is going down the steps with Gem.

Can't get the roll benefit otherwise.

Is anybody else going down?

If so, is anybody bringing a light/fire or any kind?

Gnomes and half-elves can see in the dark. But humans? Not so much!

A lantern or torch spoils the demihuman's dark vision unless they stand a good sit ande off, high may not be possible if the space below is only the size of an ordinary sort of cellar.

Fild will try to stop Tom, get a shot with the Arquebus first and THEN lead the way. He will NOT shoot if Tom is in the way. Arquebus shots might be very, very bad.

No target, unless he's shooting at the floor.

These are windy steps down, and an empty (?) cellar at the bottom.

Can Gem get where they went? Guess there is a secret door, so if he shows Tom the wall he can search for it.
