The two remaining guards try to attack Gunnar, hoping to drop the hulking murder machine before he does any more damage. They can't flank because he's got allies moving up.

[dice]0[/dice]

[dice]1[/dice]
Nope, not even with his penalty this round.
Armor; it's a lifesaver.

ROUND SIX, SECOND PART
ALAMIEN ACTIONS

teams of three seek to shield rush/overbear each PC, with a fourt man per team who will rush in to murderalize prone targets

They can do this because of the room in the courtyard (I assume PCs will fight with backs facing to negate/reduce chnace of being flanked/stabbed in back)

team one rush Gunnar

[dice]0[/dice]

team two rush Foerde

[dice]1[/dice]

team three rush Roald

[dice]2[/dice]

LOL, pathetic failures, even with bonuses for numbers and mass.

Strike men hang back, amazed.

Guys on wall hold fire, not wanting to accidentally hit their buddies in melee.

end of round six.

OKAY-

I will hold for responses and RP posts.

Please read IC first. Focus on that. OOC is just mechanics.

The guys who stayed near the gate are outnumbered, but have been whomping butt.

The others --well, check IC.

Neither half of the party knows just what the other half has done since splitting up.

Sorry about typos. I don't have access to Word here.

Is there an chock point that Roald, Foerde and Gunnar can fight there way to in order to limit the number of guys the have to fight at once?

Yes.

The original plan of using the gate corridor as a choke point was complicated by the presence of murder holes. If you stay under the gate you may be fired on by archers or arbalesters at very close range, not to mention the risk of nasty stuff being dropped/poured on you.

But you could dash across the wide-open bailey and rush the wall-side stairs that lead to the top of the fortress. Once up top (if you make it) you could push/strike shooters off the battlements and try to get into a watchtower or the samll gatehouse. That would provide excellent cover. Of course this plan requires swordwork as well as footwork.

You could also try to plow right through the guards in a mad charge, headed for the keep (where the other PCs had gone) Once indoors, finding chokepoints should be easy. But you have only a vague idea of the layout (debriefing the dwarf the other day, and talking with spies, helped but didn't give you full info).

Sorry for the lack of a map. No scanner here.

As per phone call with the DM, Roald will try to do one of two things.

1. Plow through guards to get deeper into the castle.
Or
2. Fight to the stairs and take the tower.

If Carlion shows up and Roald can't get to him in one round, he'll try to move away from him, since he is aware that Carlion can summon fire elementals.

Feedback and input, much appreciated.

If any of you guys wish to leave further instructions regarding various plans and contingencies, feel free to do so.

Post IC when you are able.

I hope everybody is having fun.
