Alain startled by the blatent rudeness of the comment turns from the door and shoulders past the wizard.CapN wrote:"Oh! Come on you big bag of fat! It's just a door!"
To the door I say: "We were sleeping and appeared here. Now we are trying to find out how to go back."
"Pardon Moi, fils a puitan." he says as he walks past. He joins the party members waithing at the door and turns back and replies:
"Please Monsiur, lead the way."

Shana quirks an eyebrow
"We went into a mist in a wooded vale and emerged a minute later in an arctic wilderness, we've been chased by mysterious burning floor effects and a drooling two headed giant across an unsupported natural span several miles long, across a huge ocean that makes not the slightest sound. We then went to sleep in a ruin, woke up in a well built house which has burning coals for floors unless you think hard enough in which case it doesn't. After all this, you're shocked by a talking door? pfeh. Even I could manage that."
I turn back to the door, smiling politely.

With a thick, fleshy voice, the living door responds.BigBadQDaddy wrote: Alain is startled by the face appearing in the doorway and steps back.
"...Wha?!" he exlaims.
"...A...a talking door?"
"What a brilliant observation you just made. Well, and I see at least six morons staring at me like if I had eaten their brains."
"And why should we care for..." The door answers, then suddenly stops.Alarnik wrote:Startled by the voice, Nicolas looks over towards the door. He walks gingerly towards it, saying in the meantime, "Please excuse us, but we have no ill intent. We are simple travelers seeking shelter from the rain..."
"Now, what do we have here? - Come near, precious maiden."
It becomes clear that the door is addressing Shana.
Right behind him, Avra perceives the shimmering shadow of a monstrous horned beast with glowing red eyes. As it moves near, he becomes aware that the creature is indeed only a shadow, but frightdul and threatening.Boccaccio Barbarossa wrote: He look over to his right: where is Lodissio?
"Seems I am still alive." Whispers Lodissio's shade.

Jarryd is startled at how things have developed lately, a talking door, heat coming from the floor and now a shadow that talks just like Lodissio. The scenario is all too strange for him, he feels like in some kind of alternate reality. Sometimes, in some ancient ruins found in the desert this kind of things were rumored to happen. The elders called it a "moment of clarity" where visitors to the ruins could experience some events linked to the ruins. Quite an experience, that sometimes could be lethal.
Ignoring Lodissio's shadow and his companions, Jarryd searches for the main door, to go back outside... Perhaps, this is not the same place we entered, perhaps we are somewhere else....
[OCC]: Jarryd is looking for the door they used to enter the structure, where the bodies were. He also looks around the room, looking for anything strange in particular, f.e. someone watching in the dark, or even some kind of creature lurking in the shadows.

Shana looks nervous, assesses her options, and appears to decide that not insulting the mysterious person is the smart move
She smiles warmly at the door and approaches to just next to the person in front
"greetings good sir!" *curtsies gracefully* "my name is Shana and I'm honoured to meet you. I do hope we are not intruding, but our situation is serious... perhaps we could perform some service in exchange for shelter and aid? we especially need a healer skilled in alleviating poisons."

The room you're standing in features no windows, but the entrance door is to the west, as it was when you fell asleep. Apart from the fountain, and the talking door, of course, and that everyone of you looks changed, the room looks relatively normal...Don Fernando wrote: [OCC]: Jarryd is looking for the door they used to enter the structure, where the bodies were. "Ah, gentle maiden, if you would enter you arm into my mouth and let me taste you the scent of your sweat, I might open you the way to riches beyond your belief."kintire wrote: "greetings good sir!" *curtsies gracefully* "my name is Shana and I'm honoured to meet you. The mouth opens, greedy for the taste of the flesh.

" good sir door, such a feast is hard to come by. The riches should be great indeed to warrant it. perhaps you could open enough for me to see these riches, and then I can decide?"
"Well, as you like it..."
It spits out a golden coin that falls before Avra's feet.

Alain becomes very frustraited with the door.
"This is rediculous. Shana, if you put your arm inside that doorknob's mouth for a gold coin, you are going to need that coin to buy back your common sense!"
Alain then turns to catch up with Jarryd and see how he is fairing with finding the entrance to the house.
