Re: Hazlan, Land of Monsters OOC
Okay, since I've finally submitted my character sheet to Nathan, it's time I took up my own 7-sentence challenge:
Vasili Boritsi's family moved to Hazlan ten years ago to learn more about Vasili's unusual arcane gift, and ever since they have managed the Jarenberg iron mines. Vasili is of average height and tries to fit in by shaving his head and wearing a zarong, but these only accentuate his thin frame and hollow eyes, in defiance of his privileged upbringing. His prodigious ability to summon creatures from mythical lands beyond the Mists earned him tuition at the Red Academy, but he remains more an object of study than an actual student.
Rumor has it that Vasili originally came from Bergovista with profound madness, which lingers in his fastidiousness and insistence on routines and rituals. He is prone to staring at people when they talk and interrupting with tangential comments, but when a subject interests him he is able to speak with captivating passion. While most people find Vasili unnerving, he's got an excellent knack for the logistics and trade of mining. Perhaps his most unsettling feature of all is the angry red scar on his forehead that only disappears when his totemic guardian is dormant.

Boy, we're a just big name noble stew over here.
I suppose since I have spells I ought to coordinate spell-lists too, but... ha.... haa...haaaaa.

Oh dear. We have a Boritsi, a Von Zarovich, probably an Isfahani, and a Blackwood. This is like "Ominous Noble Families of Ravenloft, UNITE!"
Anyway, my spell-list is in the big google-doc at the front here. Mostly it's making sure that we don't have too much overlap with spells and that we don't have important gaps in our spell lists.
If you have an AIM client or something, it may be simpler to talk there?

Here's a question. How old is everyone's characters? Lena's twenty-nine and I'm getting an eerie suspicion she's going to be the oldest character.

The Dilisnya saw his cue to run off when he saw the Boritsi and the Von Zarovich getting together. I mean, wouldn't you?Zilfer wrote:you are missing Dilisnya

Re: Hazlan, Land of Monsters OOC
I have a former PC-turned-NPC Antagonist lying around who's a Dilisnya if we really need one...? Nathan remembers him well.

Hi Serab! Nice to meet you! Go easy on Whistler, I still need him on occasion.
The Stone/Harris/Blackwood line isn't canon, but from my last two campaigns (The Eye of Anubis and the Shattered City) which Isabella and I ran and Nathan, Kage, and Whistler participated in. They're a Mordentish family, with Edmund Harris a former lamplighter and prominent NPC in the Eye of Anubis, and his nephew Richard Blackwood (and his niece Alice Blackwood) being very prominent NPCs in Shattered City. I leave it to Isy to explain the more IC stuff, if she so chooses.

The Isfahanis likewise aren't canon, but are instead the product of Nathan's diligent world-building based on a pair of brothers he and I played in Neo's campaign.

Re: Hazlan, Land of Monsters OOC
Depends on the Boritsi... If i remember right in Borca the Boritsi is a decendant of Leo Dilisnya.... though it's arguable that Leo's a legitamate part of the Dilisnya family..... hmmmm xDDeepShadow of FoS wrote:The Dilisnya saw his cue to run off when he saw the Boritsi and the Von Zarovich getting together.
