Indeed. Look instead at the number of people who viewed the thread.

Sure, comments are always welcomed to anyone posting stuff on the board.

That RPG software seems to be quite amazing. What are the problems you see with it?

Wow! Okay thanks guys. I was going to keep posting them because I did see the thread count, but I'm no writer so I'm kind of self-deprecating about having a campaign blog.

As for Fantasy Grounds, its really great to be able to get your old gaming group together every week (these are my high school and college buddies I'm playing with, who I haven't gamed with for years and years). And people are more apt to "show up" if all they have to do is sit down at their computer at their house (removing the spousal neglect part of the equation). That's not so say face-to-face isn't better (especially with gypsy fortune telling), but this is a great stopgap nonetheless. Especially when you combine it with a Skype conference call so everyone is talking like the old days.

Problems with it are connection problems. It only works thus far on Windows XP and Vista, so any Mac users are out of luck, and it only comes with OGL D20 rules. In order to change the character sheet to a different default ruleset you gotta be able to program in xml, or be able to convince one of the many skilled folks on the FG boards to do it. Also you have to buy it, $35 for DMs and $20 for players. But you get a lot of pretty for that price.

Someday my players will actually approach Castle Ravenloft, but thus far they are avoiding it like the plague (they have all read Vampire of the Mists, of course). I'm playing it more DnD "we need heroes!" and less Ravenloft "despair!" because I've turned these guys off of Ravenloft back in the day with too much "The Mists won't let you leave, the mists take you to the graveyard, the mists don't let your spells work..." back in high school, which frustrated them to no end. (Let that be a lesson, just because you love a setting's mechanics doesn't mean the players will)

Thanks for posting these! I've always been impressed by Fantasy Grounds and always despaired that there wasn't a Macintosh version. Great stuff ! Keep it up! Better than just reading a campaign journal.

Session 7 is up: http://scantabulous.blogspot.com/2007/0 ... -dark.html

I went off-campaign book for this one and made a Grimm-style horror setting for the PCs. Because I figured they deserved a change of pace, that is, from a Gothic-style horror setting.

I have been running EtCR for 5 sessions now and its good to see others doing it as well. Nice customizing of FG. We have a dinky 3hr game on wed we do with it and yours puts ours to shame.

might be difference between lite and full versions dont know.

So have you had anything strange happen so far in the adventure.

All hell is breaking loose in mine.
