MotRD Map Resource

Post by Blake_Alexander »

I don't know how much this will help anyone outside the state of Ohio, but I just learned that digitized copies of D.A. Sanborn's Fire Insurance maps are avaible for download (for personal use) for anyone with a library card from an Ohio Library. Evidently this is something that was started by the Library of Congress, and each state has a variation on it.

If anyone is interested here is a link to the site that contains the maps. You need an active library card number to access the maps and it takes a little bit of navigating of the site to find them, but once you do your can access each city via the county it is located in.

Any attempt I've made at provideing a more direct link ends up with a password coded page coming up.
