MotRd as a stand-alone setting

Discussing Masque of the Red Death

Can MotRD be run with a generic 'supernatural investigators' campaign?

Yes! You can easily run it that way as is. The Ravenloft aspects either work fine as written with that concept or can be ignored for your purposes.

No! There are other resources that are more suited to your campaign idea

Maybe! It might take some tinkering, but it probably could work that way.

Funny that people should mention d20 past over Masque. d20 Past has been even more critisized than Masque as medicore and lacking in the usefulness department.

Now that the Ravenloft line is gone, there doesn't seem to be any chance of Masque continuing. *sigh* Shot down again Red Death, will you ever rise into the flame eternal?

My not purchasing MotRD has nothing to do with the rules. It's all about money ... that is, my lack of it right now. :D

I'm still interested in Masque, of course. I just can't afford a $35 book right now that I might not even get to use.
"Here then, at least," I shrieked aloud, "can I never --can I never be mistaken --these are the full, and the black, and the wild eyes --of my lost love --of the lady --of the LADY LIGEIA."
