Has anyone here played the game Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver? Though more high fantasy than gothic fantasy, I think there might be some stuff there that could be used in Ravenloft. But maybe that's just me.
I mean, come on, I actually thought about creating a Reaver of Souls racial template, then about statting up Raziel as either an NPC or a Darklord. The first is bad enough -free-willed undead that prey on the undead aren't gothic, I'm not even sure if they're ironic- but the third is the worst. What did he do that would earn Darklordship? And what sort of curse would he have anyway? Not matter how many of them he kills, more and more vampires keep coming to his territory?
