Zombies!!!

Post by Sunstar »

Today I played the most addictive non-RPG, non-PC game ever: Zombies!!!

It's a post-end-of-days kind of game where zombies are littering the streets in an ala Resident Evil way and you are trying to escape their hunger... or kill the more you can...
This sweetie comes with 100 (!!!!!) plastic zombie miniatures ready to take your brain... literally!

Worth playing - check it out (http://www.twilightcreationsinc.com) if you want a break between RPG sessions.

<Don't get me wrong, this is NOT an advertisement! I have nothing to gain from the company's sales. I just felt like sharing for more fun hours for everyone>

I've got all five sets (including the 3.5 cards; take that, WotC!). All I need now is the bag of glow-in-the-dark Zombies and I'll be ready for an asylum.

It was fun once or twice, and the plastic Zombies are great, but I got kinda bored with it rather quickly.

The marketing writes itself... once folks get bored with Zombies, they'll probably come out with Ghouls or Mummies or something odious like that. Of course they'll stop once they stop registering a profit

Well, they've already come out with 4 or five zombies expansions... But yeah, the concept could be extrended pretty much indefinately.

They've announced that Zombies 4 is the last of the series.

Are the 100 plastic zombies all standard unpainted cookie-cutter board game pieces? Or do they look good? What size are they?
i.e. are they swipable for a standard D&D game using minis?

The zombies are about 1 inch tall, grey plastic but quite detailed. I've painted a couple of them and they look quite good. They can be used in the DnD game, although their bases are about half the size of the standard minis. Still, even with just a lousy waterbrushing or just inking, they can be used as a great visual aid.

I played my first games of Zombies tonight, accurately we played Zombies 4, which I have to admit is a VERY good game. I seemed to have the other playrs gang up against me all the toime, but I managed to win 1 of the 3 gsmes we played, a very happy result. It is amazing how such a simple game can be. I haven't seen a game like this since Mage Knight came out for its simplicity and addictiveness and I hope to play alot more of it in the future.

I hate those zombie dogs, they got my down to 1/2 a life in the cavern for a long time, but I survived (who knows how but luck played a large part) and I was only a turn away from winning in 1 game:(
