:D Hey, don't forget me: I am 22 and have been playing several RPGs since I was 8 or 9. (HeroQuest marked the beginning.)
At 16 I DMed D&D for the first time, and as long as I find players that want to join me at the gaming table, I think I will continue.

If YOU wnat to join, check my thread *Staunton Bluffs* on this board for more info...

I have been playing for about 5 years, by coincidence after 3E came out. Haven't stopped since. Still in the prime of my life (which means that I'll be 25 soon). My tabletop-group ranges in age from 24 to mid-thirties. My boyfriend's group ranges in age from 30 to 40-ish, I think. My boyfriend himself will have been playing 20 years next year. So no, you're never too old to play! Not as long as you can string a coherent sentence together and can rool your dice ;)

YEAH! Using the same spelling as dozens of porn span mails do will surely help me to attract players!

After digging through our crypts, I also found a similar "age-related" thread here...

Time flies :)
How old are your kids now? I remember when you proudly declared that your daughter (8 years old then) could name the chromatic dragons and their respective breath weapons. And that she managed to convince her friends she is a vampire.
They are both in a vanilla gothic/skater phase (depending on the days), she is 11, he is 13.

It's funny that you remember that :) I play D&D with them once in a while, but my son wants to join my regular group (yikes!). We played the Odiare adventure recently and it was quite cool.

We also paint miniatures in family :)

My wife doesn't play D&D but has read all the gothic/horror/fantasy novels of my library.

We're the Addams family of our neighbourhood :)

All you youngsters today [shaking my cane from my rocker on the front porch]. My son (19) graduated from high school yesterday, and my oldest daughter (21) brought her daughter (my first grandchild!) with her from Oklahoma and we had her first birthday to celebrate as well. My youngest daughter (15) is in that same 'vanilla goth' phase (Thanks for the term, Joel, I'll use it on her!) but wore her best black clothes for the graduation. I'm just a month away from being 45, but most folks here call me 'Grampa Jim' now. :D

Top ten signs that you're too old to play D&D:

10) Due to failing vision, you resort to using the fuzzy dice from your car as D6's.

9) You can buy more games now that you get a seniors discount.

8) You walk with the aid of a cane +2.

7) You blew your social security check on D&D 7.8th edition.

6) You use D6's as emergency dentures.

5) You complain to the DM that in your day a gold piece bought you a healing potion, a long sword, 5 magical arrows and some damn RESPECT!

4) You brag that you never have to leave your chair at Gencon thanks to depends undergarments.

3) You often get your dice bag and colostomy bag confused.

2) You start referring to elves as "sonny" and "whippersnapper".

and finally...

1) Your group gets bored of hearing how in your day adventurers walked 14 miles to the dungeon, in the snow, uphill, both ways.

Oh god ScS that cracked me up thank you so much and dang Catman you are an old one but that makes me feel good to know I am not the oldest.

My children are four, two, and one more on the way and the oldest one is already showing signs of interest in the morbid.

"Daddy I wish my head were cut of some times."

A surprised look. "Why is that honey?"

"Because I think it would be fun to freak people out like that." laughs childishly....

If she keeps this up as well as her stitched up "Zombie" doll I will have to start to wonder.

I'm 28 and have played since I was 8. My current group ranges from 27-29. While it does get harder to find time to play as responsibilities pile up, I don't forsee myself stopping until they pry my D20's from my cold dead hands....

And then I rise from the grave as a Dread Revenant, in constant pursuit of my missing dice.
