Oh, they've been mentioned loads of times. They're in four of the threads linked in the second post. Still great, though.Gynsburghe wrote:I'm surprised that I haven't seen the 'haunted house' band Midnight Syndicate mentioned here yet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFllOE4 ... 5B79EA8FB3

Heh, my bad - I didn't poke very hard. They are a fairly obvious choice, and still great indeed

Anyone have any good soundtracks or artists for Souragne?

The OST of The Serpent and the Rainbow is an obvious one, but long OOP without an MP3 version.Ender wrote:Anyone have any good soundtracks or artists for Souragne?
Here are some ambiences that might fit:

You could also take Dub or other Caribbean instrumental music and play it half or 3/4 speed.
Nun gut, es sei dir überlassen!

Here's a good theme for an idea that gets passed around a lot here.

This guy has got some pretty decent, non-vocal, multi-setting/"cultural" background tunes if you dig around a bit: https://m.youtube.com/user/AdrianvonZiegler

Oh man. This is (literally) my jam. I'm very much an audio guy so I've put way too much time into this.
The soundtrack to Le Portrait de Petit Cossette has some excellent atmosphere tracks, both ambient and action-packed. It's been my go-to for music choices in most of my Ravenloft games. Cannot recommend it enough: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLyiQ ... kuFpTChBO3
I've seen Castlevania brought up, but want to go a step further and pitch two specific tracks.
Castlevania 64's "Silent Madness" is an underrated gem and good for background haunting ambience on a loop (I've used it for both the House on Gryphon Hill and Dr. Dominiani's asylum): https://youtu.be/hYUNifUb4aE
In addition, "Pillared Corridor" from Super Castlevania IV has become the unofficial theme music of Dr. Rudolph van Richten for my group. Usually I try to find an arrangement of the music so it's not the chiptune version, but the melody just seems to fit the good doctor in my mind: https://youtu.be/lY3CdXffN44
I'd be remiss if I didn't mention Philip Glass's Dracula score. It's got Barovia all over it.
I could go on but... I'd be here for ages.

We have a previous thread on this. Props to Mephisto for his list of music for the domains and many faiths.
