Custom Creatures

Post by KingCorn »

Just wanted to share some custom Ravenloft creatures I made for 5e. Its my first time stating out and homebrewing so they aren't all that balanced, so any feed back is appreciated

Skimmed the file, I checked the shadow fey.
I would say a creature with such magic abilities is probably more than CR1 but less than CR2. Invisibility alone is tricky. Honestly, I would say bump up its hp a bit, and give it a sneak attack for +2d6 damage when it attacks by surprise (similar to the Doppelganger) and make it a CR2 creature.

I haven't gone into the mechanics yet, but I enjoyed all of the concepts. My favorites were probably the two elementals, the mimm (which makes my mind go to either a Harry Potter boggart or Pennywise, at least for a malicious one), and the sleep-walkers. The danger of an ecto-parasite hedging out a haunting was also interesting, and the Alraune reference in the venus weed entry was a good tip-off.
