No details, but interesting!

I hope not. That was a botch of a module IMHO. Unpopular opinion, but vanilla Azalin (module Azalin) is a lame and weak character with no distinguishing character traits prior to later authors getting their hands on him. Mangrum actually did him some justice and its too bad we didn't get the rest of it.tomokaicho wrote:Strahd, Azalin, and the Alchemist?
First thought that came to my head too, aside from "what happened to the Dark Sun hype?".tomokaicho wrote:Strahd, Azalin, and the Alchemist?
Still going strong.Five wrote: First thought that came to my head too, aside from "what happened to the Dark Sun hype?".
Eh, Strahd I6 was basically a throw-down with Dracula and that didn't stop WoTC et al. from taking it in their own unique direction.Five wrote: I'd like to see Lamordia, but Victor Mordenheim and Adam are way too similar (rip off) of Frankenstein and his Monster to "second wave" Ravenloft. But they DID take it in a unique direction. I don't see that with Mordenheim/Adam. Some fuzzy peripherals but the backstory is copy and paste for the most part. I love the shout out to Frankenstein, which is one of my favorite books, but I don't see anything in them to not call them Frankenstein and the Monster. Probably should've ported them to Gothic Earth instead of Ravenloft...Mischief wrote:Eh, Strahd I6 was basically a throw-down with Dracula and that didn't stop WoTC et al. from taking it in their own unique direction.Five wrote: I'd like to see Lamordia, but Victor Mordenheim and Adam are way too similar (rip off) of Frankenstein and his Monster to "second wave" Ravenloft. Yes, that would make sense as well, as far as I'm concerned. It could also be a DM's bridge to Golden Age pirates as framed by Ghosts of Saltmarsh's Appendix "Of Ships and the Sea".Mischief wrote:If it is Ravenloft (or Gothic Earth or something like that), then maybe we'll get some more firearms/firearms rules. They showed up in Dragon Heist quite a bit.
I recall the patron of the Doomsday Gazetteers sarcastically suggesting that the author thinks the house on Gryphon Hill to be the dark master of Mordent.KingCorn wrote:If it is House on Gryphon Hill I hope it ends with the evil of the house turning into a giant ghost gryphon.

If there are griffons in Ravenloft though, Falkovnia needs an elite flying squadron....
Funnily enough, both griffins and hippogriffs are native to Falkovnia, according to said Black Box! So yes, you might totally be able to have an elite flying squadron!ewancummins wrote:Griffons and hippogriffs both can be found in Ravenloft, according to the Black Box.
