Re: LOST TRAILS OOC
Kat would like to talk with the others and develop a plan, but she feels that the governer doesn't need to be bothered by ALL the group, and will leave hobnobbing with the nabobs to those who enjoy that. She is going to try and get the more general lay of the land and maybe pick up some rumours of noted sages.
Re: LOST TRAILS OOC
What Bennedict would like to do is find the best repository of arcane knowledge of which the governor knows to try and research a way home. Perhaps find out if she's aware of any other strange comings and goings recently that may have coincided with their magical mishap.
His inquisitive nature, however, will probably lead him to try and find out in the short term what's going on that ended their audience early. If, maybe, the keep is under attack, he may lend a hand.

"Of course," Benn mutters, "It would be a damned shame if we ever knew what the hell was actually going on."

Raen would tell the governor that they have encountered a Bulette. Or someone in charge.

Will you want a diplomacy check to make the priests helpful in my search? My modifier is +8.

Alain will gather some information with the hour he has in the hopes to see if they can help the Governor with her current problem, since having a high official in your debt will make it more likely that said official will give more help than normal .

Any comment on what the beastmen resemble?
And here's a dice roll for a knowledge to recognize what they are. 0

Benn gathers that several distinct races of beastman exist: orks, man-lizards,gnoles, etc.Adam wrote:Any comment on what the beastmen resemble?

These beastmen don't change shape, so they don't seem to be lycanthropes.
Nor do they appear to be some sort of surgical composites created by a mad scientist, at least not from what the soldiers tell Benn.
They are flesh and blood creatures, not spirits. One of the soldiers mentions a skirmish with man-lizard.
Each sort has its own language. All these monsters make tools.
The soldiers mention that some swamp pioneers trade with the man-lizards.
Benn has read about similar sorts of humanoid beings in collections of fairy tales.
These particular soldiers do not have full story, but only heard scraps of it second hand. Thus, they only know it was "horrible beast men' and not which sort.

Re: LOST TRAILS OOC
Was Klokulf able to jog the old priest's memory, or was he still unsure when time came to meet with the Governor.
Also, I would like to make a Sense Motive check (+8) to see if the priest is keeping anything from Klokulf and to gauge his opinion of him. He is certainly describing Klokulf's faith in terms that make it sound authoritarian (not that Klokulf was not doing the same).

Or fishing for something?
But Klokulf hasn't tiem to determine what exactly he's missed when the meeting with the Governor draws nigh...
Only, that old shrine-keeper knew or suspected something more than he let on.
