Re: POVERO Campaign OOC
Just tossing out some POVERO compatible ideas that fit that first set of scores and (very roughly) your entertainer concept, Metaflux
What about a human thief who is extremely intelligent but average in other respects (your scores fit that )
He gets a bucket of starting NWPs between high INT and the two free slots I give to replace/offset kits.
Could take :
ventriloquism
Artistic ability: puppets
Carpentry
Information gathering
Observation
Local history
R/W
Etc.

Long post, written in a ranting-style because Fild is gloom and depressed. He's not ACTUALLY complaining, he's opening up a ton of possibilities to show that things may be more complicated than "Aldron was a kinda foolish ambitious evil man. The end." that seems to be the prevailing opinion among his enemy houses. Even the watch are scratching their heads and saying "eh... what? Why aren't they doing anything."

+1 on the gold roll for wizard, so 30. Almost Finished.
One of the Non proficiency Skills I took was Ancient Language. I'll leave that to your discretion since I don't know what languages would or wouldn't be ancient in Ravenloft.
Also, in the ad&d book, I looked under magic, and it said that the DM determines what spells I start with. My int is 17, and I'm level one.

Intelligence gathering will certainly yield that much.
Maybe more, if you leave the WatchHouse and go out to snoop and inquire in different parts of the city.

METAFLUX
Let's introduce him right off, this scene.
The Watch has brought him in because (pick just one option):
He works for the Savelle family, and they trust him.
He works for the Holbin family, and they trust him.
He has helped the Watch in the past.
He used to have some connection with the Folbre family but was fired, dismissed, or kicked out.

• Gnomish: spoken by the gnomes who live in the slums and warrens of Rioricco/Ruscellon
• Elvish: not often heard outside the Elven enclaves of the Tanglewood, but some half-elves and human traders know it
• Horn-speak: the language of the Horn-Heads of the Tanglewood
• Chevallese: spoken by the man-horses of the Tanglewood
• Glozza: spoken by the goat-men of the Tanglewood
• Vermic: the language of dragons. No dragons inhabit the lands within at least a hundred miles of Povero, but a species with toxic breath dominated the land in the distant past. Scholars of the natural sciences, especially herbalism and metallurgy, use certain words and concepts derived from the old draconic language. The University at Ferrantio is the only place anywhere near Povero where one may study Vermic.

Lowen is the investigative type, though he loves playing the flute.
When you feel ready, you can just walk him into the meeting room.
That should let you describe the PC, give you a chance to introduce him to the other characters, learn a bit about what's going on...
