I present to you your Level 6 Bard, Elena von Zarovich!

I picked up Featherfall and Heroic Fortune as new spells (so you may now leap off tall buildings -- I suspect Richard would've appreciated this last fight).

Item-wise, I now have a Lesser Metamagic Rod of Bouncing, some armor, and a Ring of Mind Shielding. Also some scrolls, notably another Glibness Scroll.

And for Versatile Performance, Lena can now use her Dance skill instead of Acrobatics and Fly... so after Armor Check Penalties Lena has a +14 Acrobatics. I love Bards.

I am working on a couple of cut scenes and the first post of the next chapter. Will get them up ASAP. Has everyone updated their character sheet? (he asked rhetorically).

I'm still working on ours. Plan is to get them done over the weekend.

Cut scenes are pretty cool--what's the time frame on the one with Richard? When did his sister arrive? It's equal parts confusing and enlightening, could use some clarification.

If I have time over the weekend, I may finally get up my cutscene about how Leila knows Horst.

Actually, it worked out about as well as could be expected, and perhaps a little better. They aren't idiots, so they suspect a cover-up, but suspicion is thick and evidence is thin. That may change, but we have room to work.

* There's nothing to connect the Thott to the cover-up, so he doesn't have to be exiled in Barovia. That alone I consider a huge improvement over the other plan.

* In all his suspicions, he gives no indication of something suspicious about Feray's death. That's a good sign, and it gives additional hope that we can use her as a scapegoat.

* He admits there was no crime against Agata apart from the memory loss. If there's no rape nor murder, and if the cult cell is scattered, what we have here may not hold his interest long enough to bear fruit. Especially if there's something much bigger to distract him.

As I said, room to work.

Relevant notes on our location:
1) We are very, very isolated. No other human habitation for miles.
2) The only reason there is anyone here is
--a) It commands a pass
--b) It's a boundary between Thott and Jarenberg territories (which means, in this part of Hazlan, that it's a watershed
--c) You can see a long way from here.
3) Being wild and mountainous, the chances are decent that the wilderness is stuffed to the gills with bizarre magical horrors. But we haven't seen any. Yet.
4) Homweyz is a minor noble family whose main keep is about half a day south of here; they're clients of the Jarenberg.
5) There's no history to speak of associated with this place.
6) There is a certain amount of banditry around here, and people who are fugitives from justice (and/or injustice), and people who come up here to do things they want to keep from prying eyes (in another age/situation you'd have moonshine stills, stuff like that).
