Alright sounds good. I'll shoot for a class that we don't have covered. I like Wizards, fighters, and rogues generally but open to covering any class slot. Might try to go ranger.

My brother, Eric intends to multiclass his elven gunslinger as some kind of spellcaster eventually.

My cousin, Mike is making an alcoholic human barbarian [or possibly ranger] from Verbrek that considers himself a man of the wilderness and talks to animals [the small ones mostly give him strange looks and scurry off, and the big ones.... ].

My friend Matt is gonna make a cleric or oracle.

Steve is making a Falkovian soldier of some kind.

......Don't worry about doubling up on any character class if it is one that you really want to roleplay.

If you have any more questions you should browse over this thread starting with page #1. You'll see that I've been explaining the rules of character generation repeatedly.

Of course I'm more than happy to discuss your character's concept with you. I just don't want to be redundant.

Indeed, I've recently switched over as the "main focus campaign" to pathfinder. Just got done playing a session last night, where they fended off 100 orcs. Was pretty good fight I think .

I'm currently thinking on where I want to be from and what I want to do as a character. xD

Hey Steve and Mat,

I'm Eric, Jay's little bro. I've been playing D&D with Mike and him since I was five and Matt since I was about 12, right? I moved to LA, and our schedules are always butting heads, so we're trying out the forum to keep the game alive. There's no one I look up to more than Jay in the D&D world, so if he give you guys the thumbs up, then I'm glad to have you!

Mat, we are using Pathfinder exclusively. If it's on the Pathfinder SRD, it's fair game, but check with Jay if it's from a third party source. I counted 1s as two when rolling stats (D&D gods forgive me) but it didn't make a difference when I got to drop the lowest stat. As far as filling party needs, I can't say when/if Ryan and MK (my cousin and his girlfriend) will get on, and right now we are utterly lacking Stealth.

Hopefully, Matt will have Diplomacy and/or Sense Motive, but otherwise, we're socially inept, too, which could be fun.

I can disable traps and will have access to four schools of magic come 2nd level: Abjuration, Conjuration, Divination and Evocation, so Dimmer will remain an unsubtle utility character for as long as he survives.

In other words, any class will work out fine, but it would be nice to have a Stealth option. The nice thing about Pathfinder is, choose a size small race, a Half-Elf (they get Skill Focus), or a race with a +2 Stealth bonus, and you don't even really need to have it a class skill.

OK. So I was chatting with Steve the other night about his character concept, and I divulged to him a little bit of my plan for the campaign. No metagaming. We were just trying to flesh out his character's background and I was letting him in on part of the plot that I will reiterate here:

The campaign will start in Il Aluk, Darkon. Regardless of your characters' backgrounds, you will all start off the game languishing in isolation within little cells, awaiting a verdict of guilty for a murder charge, and inevitably your timely execution. You will all have false memories of your lives in Darkon, unless Darkon was actually your place of birth. Feel free to fill in the blanks of your "false" histories as well as your "actual" histories. Part of your characters' false histories may include the details of your murder charges. Whether you characters are actually guilty of murder or not is up to you, or if you prefer to be surprised, leave it up to me.

If any of you want to mash together your histories/false histories so that your characters already know each other feel free as well.

Whatever of Dimmer's history you wanna share on here is fine with me. I'm not sure that everybody is gonna follow suit though. Basically you are all free to share or not share your characers' backgrounds with each other. To each their own.

Personally though, I'm partial to everybody sharing all their creativity on here.

Just got in from my board gaming day and am pooped! Was mah birfday so I drank the green beer in honor of Saint Patrick and had all sorts of good natured fun.
