Half orcs get a +2 to ANY ability score... :? Nah, they're good as callibans, but not as half orcs. The only problem I have with the half-orc is that it still seems underpowered compared to the other races. Look at the half-elf. Same stat bonus option, bonus to perception, immunity to sleep magic a...

I swear I'm going to switch over to 4e mechanics and throw all-y'all. :P That would make for some very different comics. Comic #25 Jean-Louis: "N...no... f-forget me... you have to... s-save... her..." Santine wacks him up the side of the head while shouting " In Ezra's Name! ...

Only to detect Innocents and Evil Outsiders.

And Rakshasa's are an Evil Outsider.

He seems a bit too acrobatic for a paladin. Isn't there a psionic class with tumble as a class skill ...? In any case, despite being overmatched, Fred is still alive . Worth noting. And more than the skull bird, I am currently worried about a certain possibly-charmed noblewoman ... I agree that som...

And now we've got the creepy skull-bird. This will end well. Some one is getting collected. Lets hope that it isn't someone we know. BTW: I'm not sure if anyone has brought up Fred's "class", but has anyone else gotten the impression that he's a paladin (possibly with Ethereal Empathy)?

Well, that's what he gets for attacking something above his challenge rating unprepared.

Besides, almost getting disemboweled can do that to you.

They probably can, but that might be a headache to lay out. Arkham Horror does have board expansions in addition to card expansions, so adding locations (or levels of a dungeon or mysterious sites around Barovia and beyond) is not outside the real of possibility. Lots of games go the "build a ...

I have to agree. Ravenloft isn't a gloom and doom, shadows everywhere setting to the average people who live there. Its only those that look under the hood (or those attacked by the thing under the bed) that realize the truth of what lurks below. Having it actually covered with Night and slightly le...

I hope it won't be just a single board. I hope there will be room maps that can be connected together to form more dungeons. They probably can, but that might be a headache to lay out. Arkham Horror does have board expansions in addition to card expansions, so adding locations (or levels of a dunge...

Arkham Horror is all but a Roleplaying game. Each character is unique and even has their own personal story on the back (and personal mission cards that have major effects for them). And if it does well they can expand it with further boards and card expansions like Arkham Horror as well. I'm intere...

My gut feeling is that the CGI is going to ruin it and we'll have another epic Universal masterpiece a la "Van Helsing" on our hands. . . I wouldn't worry about that. Van Helsing was an attempt to make a new character from whole cloth and shoehorn in the monsters into Wolfman Meets...

Werewolves. I was on a real werewolf kick when I was younger, and was looking for SOMETHING with werewolves in it. Then, while on vacation I came across the novel " Heart of Midnight ," with its image of a werewolf in a mask on the cover. Picked it up, realized it was part of a larger worl...

I've got to agree with Rotipher. It isn't fair to shut down a character's class ability just because they aren't aware of the undead's former belief system. Clerics channel positive or negative energy when they turn/rebuke. In that case they are using divine power in the same way they do in casting ...
