Dear Vlad Drakov- Why a hawk's head brand, exactly? And why on the forehead? You'd do a lot for your spy network if they could hide the damned things...

Drakov works just fine for me. I had a bunch of PCs meet him once (they were an embassy sent by... Mordent, I think). Yeah, he's portrayed as an irredeemable cretin who can;t accept defeat... But I also had him show some of the party a good time. They went falconing, he talked shop with the fighter ...

Actually, there are some old Dungeon Magazine adventures set on a "dark continent" that can tweak toward the Ravenloft end of things pretty handily...

Stereotypical as all hell, and I can't think of a clear darklord, but hey....

Y'know.... the funny thing is, this site was mostly of, by, and for SotK refugees initially....
