The trouble is there's a vast amount of info already in the catalogue. It would be a shame to lose that. :( I wonder if there's a way to convert the database that's there into a wiki. I've tried contacting Stu to try and get the catalogue back up, but I haven't succeeded. It's in a sort of limbo st...

The fact the Kargatane hosted them on their site for a while would suggest to me that even if the copyright is still applicable, the holder doesn't care that much.

I dunno why, but I didn't find it that funny. I guess it's because my friends and I once made a video around the same idea and we used pretty similar themes (although I must confess, we didn't manage to get any girls actually to join in, though in my defence we were 14 and we didn't really know any ...

Okay, I might be reading too much into this, but does this mean we've had some (good) news about whether d20 OGLed stuff can be used in Ravenloft now the rights have reverted back to Wizards? Or am I reading far too much into this topic? :)

HAH! I read this thread's title, and had a real "old fogey gamer" moment: having never heard of Guild Wars, I thought you meant you'd combined your Ravenloft game with Gamma World! Talk about bizarre images springing to mind.... You think you had a shock? For a second, I thought G...

Serenity RPG

Right, my RPG group is taking a hiatus from Ravenloft for now and I'm looking for a new setting to put them in. Has anyone tried the Serenity RPG? Was it any good? One of my friends is a browncoat (which is Serenity/Firefly slang for "fan", I think), so he'll love it, but I must admit I kn...

Sorry Mortavius. That was just the impression you gave me from your e-mail to the list.

Installing fonts on Windows can be "fun" sometimes. Generally, what I do is unzip the fonts into a seperate folder (on the desktop or in your My Documents), then open up C:WINDOWSFonts and copy the files over that way. Windows seems to prefer that.

This kind of thing has been done in the RPG system "Dead Inside". It's a PDF only thing though and at the moment I've lost the PDF so I'll have to go search for my printed copy. If there's anything in there that I felt would translate to Ravenloft though, I'll let you all know.

It would appear the actual owner stepped forward to reclaim it today. Apparently, he'd forgotten about it. However, he's now asking to be updated on the canon history of Ravenloft from the creation of Necropolis onwards. I'm not *that* well versed in Ravenloft history yet, anyone else feel like lett...

Aren't the creatures from the Books of S, QtR and USS the property of the authors? Wouldn't any republication or update to 3E/3.5 require their permission first? I'm all for it and anything I've published is fair game (not that I've done any monsters IIRC), but I think people need to be asked. And ...

If I remember correctly, d20 books are still a no-go for Ravenloft, as they're OGL and Ravenloft isn't a OGL setting (well, it wasn't).

Heheh... somewhat strangely, one of my RPG group guys gave me the printed compilation of "Map A Week" maps (taken from the Wizards site) as a Christmas present, so I'm tempted to say... "BAH! Just what I needed, another lot of maps!" But I won't, because I'm not ungrateful (and I...
