Re: Favorite Non-Darklord NPCs
I would love to know more about the Inquest from Spectre of the Black Rose. The four judges serving Malocchio Aderre didn't seem to be fully human.

I would like to correct this correction.Rock of the Fraternity wrote: ↑Wed Jan 04, 2023 6:18 am I noticed in the Soul Kraken that 'Geldnahar' is misspelled as 'Geldnar' a few times.
It is spelled "Geldnehar" with a second E, so be careful not to correct it to "Geldnahar" with a second A.

Re: QtR errata
I haven't finished Secrets of the Twisted Tower , but I spotted a few things. First, there are at least two places where Erlin is spelled with the L and R switched (on page 235 in the second to last paragraph, and on page 237 in the requirements sidebar for the Zagazmonari prestige class). Also on p...

Re: QtR errata
I spotted a couple of things in Secrets of Freedom as I was reading. On page 189, about midway down the page on the left hand side, the word "woman" is missing a lowercase "o." On page 190, and the very bottom of the left column, some of the verb tenses don't line up in "......

Re: Children of the Night: Ancient Dead
Petrified Giant: Based on the Cardiff Giant Hoax, only this ones no hoax. I recall there being ancient undead giants (called raam ) in the Kings of the Rift adventure ( Dungeon magazine 133) in the Age of Worms adventure path. They died out because they stopped bearing female children, and the last...

Re: No One D&D Homebrew?
I am also concerned that the people who make a significant chunk of their living out of publishing on DM's Guild might take a hit over this. I am given to understand that publishing on DM's Guild gives one the ability to use non-OGL Product Identity (like mind flayers), so I imagine this could exte...

Re: QtR errata
Two small errata in the entry for Tycho. The first isn't an error, but a stylistic point that I did not make clear in my submission. I intended for the "Curse Collector" blurb on page 285 to be boxed up in a sidebar like a dread possibility. The second is a minor typo. In the Spatial Contr...

Re: My Maps of the Old Kartakan Inn
I can see the images. I like the overall irregular shape of the inn.
What is the intended difference between the first two images? I see that the top one has some places that are darkened in comparison to the second image.

Re: Boneless dragons?
I hear boneless chicken is popular. As for serious suggestions, the boneless dragon concept could be extended to boneless sea serpents. It is also a great way to hide and transport larger undead servants, even if a boneless is too big to be crammed into 1 cubic foot of space. Being able to fit a siz...

Re: Vampire sunlight weakness reset?
Van Richten's Arsenal gives new values for sunlight resistance on page 123, all in terms of rounds: Mature - 3 rounds Old - 5 rounds Ancient - 10 rounds (1 minute) Eminent - 20 rounds (2 minutes) Patriarch - (Immune, but still limited to partial actions while exposed) Table 6-2 (from which I draw t...

Yeah, I think logical consequences for arson is the way to go. I mentioned some of my Call of Cthulhu experiences with resolving scenarios by arson in another thread . One I didn't mention there was a game where the investigators torched a house full of werewolves, and my character was killed when t...

Re: Thoughts on... Verbrek
I think that is a very interesting revision of his curse, and I like the mechanics of it. It is very close in operation to Jacqueline Montarri's curse, which does threaten her uniqueness. I would be wary of implementing this version in a world that already has her. Then again, since both were cursed...

Re: Binders in Ravenloft
Maybe Ravenloft has Vestiges of its own, entities trapped in the Mists unless called forth by a Binder. (Imagine Ezra being one of them.) I would favor the existence of Ravenloft-specific Vestiges. It would provide an interesting alternative fate for entities trapped in the Dread Realms. For those ...
