Re: Black Box Falkovnia
I agree there's very little reason for the Talons to be prejudiced in their choice of mates, but maybe it matters to the other groups, I'd compare it to Norman Wales, it was perfectly normal for the Norman men to marry Welsh women, but far rarer for it to occur the other way. Even if you're removing...

Re: G’Henna, what to do with it?
I have a vague memory of there being many other aspects of Zhakata other than the devourer, presumably these required different acts of devotion, so maybe before GC the starvation thing wasn't as big a part of the religion maybe?

Re: Black Box Falkovnia
With regards the Gaz , the "good times" you're describing could be an interpretation of "the Bloody Ride" which culminated in Drakov facing off against Falcon the Great, previous ruler of Falkovnia (according to the false history), I tend towards thinking that the false histories...

Re: Black Box Falkovnia
I've always viewed Vlad Drakov as the third RL Dracula, Strahd is the movie Dracula, Gundar closer to the book, with Drakov being closest to the historical Vlad Tepes III, aka the Impaler. He too ruled a country of many nationalities, He was a Vlach (Hungarian), ruling over Szelekers (Romanian) with...

Re: It's been a year since the Wheel of Time series ended...
I started reading this series when I was 16, I gave up at some point in my late twenties, when I realised that I just wanted it to end, which was a massive shame because I had loved the books for so many years. I'm now almost 40 and could try again now that an end exists, but I think the age of the ...

Re: Penny Dreadful
I'm loving this series, up until recently mostly for Rory Kinnear's portrayal of the Monster, which has achieved the near impossible, a workable adaptation of the literary Frankenstein's Monster, intelligent, sympathetic, yet unrepentantly evil. Billie Piper's character has grabbed my attention by t...

Re: New to Ravenloft? Introduce yourself here!
Hi, New to the forum, but long time lurker, and even longer RL devotee, I bought the black box when it was released, and most of the 2nd ed range as and when it came out. While I DM strictly in 2nd ed, I'm currently running my first RL only campaign, previously trips to Ravenloft had followed the &q...
