Re: Important changes to canon Ravenloft

That all works for me! - Secret lore from a soon to be released Curse of Strahd companion adventure: the Weathermay-Foxgrove twins are in fact hags in disguise, whose current plot is looking for a third hag to form a coven to defeat Strahd! I knew it! - Ireena Kolyana is in fact blonde, but she secr...

Re: Souragne/Chicken Bone question

Oooh! I just stumbled across a nice write-up of Chicken Bone, it looks like a paste from a sourcebook, so I'm going to assume this is official information. Can anyone confirm? It appears that Russian website has copied and posted the 1993 2nd Edition MC Ravenloft Appendix II: Children of the Night ...

Re: A few Ravenloftian-ish-ness books off my shelf

I recently finished reading the Dark Tower trilogy, inspired by the art of Joseph Vargo and the music of Nox Arcana, http://www.monolithgraphics.com/books.html Basic premise: Medieval vampire as tragic hero and dark defender, presented in a series of connected short stories. Definitely Ravenloft-ian.

Re: CONFIRMED: Ravenloft for 5th Edition

Strahd rides on a Nightmare. The picture is cool. I'm curious about this. Apparently its' name is Bucephalus. I was wondering if anyone here had remembered it being mentioned in RL canon before? possibly engraved on one of the crypts (and thus I easily forgot it)? The original I10 Ravenloft game mo...

Big Bang Theory plays Ravenloft

In the "Big Bang Theory" episode aired 18 February, titled "the Positive Negative Reaction", the cast are setting up the Castle Ravenloft Board Game for play as Wolowitz informs his friends of Bernadette's pregnancy. Look on the table, you can see the box and some of the plastic ...

Re: CONFIRMED: Ravenloft for 5th Edition

Chris Perkins posted a new Curse of Strahd map on the D&D Tumblr page: "The Blue Water Inn".

Could this be the same Blue Water Inn in Vallaki that we know from 'Roots of Evil' and GAZ 1?

Re: “Undying Justice” from Chilling Tales

Seems like it would have to be in the early 700's. Robert Tatenna states he was in boarding school with Van Richten ~685. Van Richten is described as being Level 5 in this adventure, so it wouldn't be all that long after the loss of his son and the Vistani curse in 706.

Re: Hour of the Knife, what should I call the killings?

The murderer (Sodo) is called "Bloody Jack". I'm AFB right now, so I can't give a page reference, but that's what I remember (and Mistipedia confirms.) So I believe they are called the "Bloody Jack Murders" or somesuch. "The Printer's Shop" sidebar on page 32 of "...
