Huh, sounds a pretty interesting class. It seems it'd do far, far too much damage on the DoD, though, and I expect that if one DID show up in Ravenloft, the DPs would Take Steps to ensure he/she/it left again or was eliminated as quickly as possible... And on a roleplaying level...geeze, how depress...

Definitely the "Martha Knows" song. For one thing, it's from (IMO) the greatest TV show ever, and (more importantly for Ravenloft) it's cheery--which makes it extremely creepy when joined up with the WF...

For all you Supernatural fans out there, season 4 starts Sept 28th! Which, lemme tell ya, after the finale of season 3, I'm very much eager to see What Happens Next. It was very nearly as evil as the end of season 1...I also caught an interview on amazon.com with the actor who plays Dean. Unfortunat...

Thief was mentioned at the top, but I have to mention the second and third titles in the series, both fantastic additions to the gothic-atmosphere experience. Thief 2 had a simply fantastic, and chilling, story and villain. Though I have yet to complete Thief 3 all the way to the end (a damned bug g...

Werebats would work, too, since bats do technically qualify as forest creatures. A were-duck...how...disturbing... (tries desperately to think of how the heck wereducks might spread their infection) Werechicken might be amusing as well... :lol: Were-rabbits *could* actually work. Having spent much o...

Y'know, I actually rather like the idea of shifting canon a bit and having Ivana Boritsi actually be a decrepit old crone hiding her withered features--sort of like the Witch(es) in Gaiman's Startdust. That could open up possibilities with her Black Widow status: she preys upon her lovers to preserv...

Werefoxes (perhaps a different type than the all female, all vicious silver ones?)? Wereboars? (Bears and pigs are related, after all).

(Tries desperately to think of other forest creatures)

Were....elk? :p

I've most definitely considered the reversed "weekend in hell" idea, and imagine I will eventually implement it. I've got a party of all RL natives--so one of these days I'm going to drop them into Eberron. (Ignoring the whole different multi-verse nonsense) I figure they'll find the appar...

This is just my two cents, but I get the feeling that Vlad's gripe arises more from uncreative, rather lazy players than from real issues with the spells/rules/whatever themselves. Players who use the same dumb tricks over and over instead of using their brains are rather missing the point of tablet...

Actually, it's about two brothers. Their mother was killed when both were very little by a supernatural force (a demon, as it turns out, with a real interest in Sam, the younger of the two). Their father, an ex-Marine, is determined to find whatever it was that killed his wife and shattered their qu...

Supernatural...

So, I just started work at a book/movie/rental store, and took advantage of my lovely discount to rent movies for the weekend. Eyeing the tv shows, I spotted season 1 of Supernatural. I'd seen season 2 advertised on iTunes, but never tried it because I hate starting in the middle of things. Picked i...

A vampiric dragon....

:: considers this ::

In all honesty? That has to be one of the sillier concepts the Powers that Be have come up with. I mean...what WOULD it eat?

Although, if staking the thing is a problem, I have one word for you: Ballista!
